Is it really that hard to email when you kill a program?
It's been a while since I have gone through my solo girl list looking for dead programs. I remove them when I get e-mails, but sometimes it seems programs don't bother. Here's the list I just deleted today:
Summer Hilton.com Alyssa Teen.com Ashley Brookes.com Amber's Fantasy.com Sexy Lette.com Violet Sin.com Sexy Deanna Planet Chelsea.com Planet Corrina.com Haylee Hunter.com Lexi Lexxx.com Alissa Bliss.com Jamie Angel Pure Dee.com Devon's House.com Zoey and Friends.com Bandit Babe.com vickiep.com Alexia Star.com JenMadison.com rebekahdee.com sendashleytocollege.com kisskaci.com hometownhardcore.com sandeewestgate.com northernorchid.com tinyvi.com doitlana.com jessicadior.com ninastarr.com sweetuniversity.com kyleeconrad.com exotickisses.com aliciadanielle.com haileylittle.com Young Holly kinkyallysa.com kinkyemma.com kinkycameron.com mina.wildrose.net dixiedash.com MariaVasi.com kellydivine.com |
You do make a point, but at the same time...not all those sites/programs are dead from what I can see.

Wow, that's quite a long list.
Sites seem to be dropping like flies. |
Awesome, thnx!
PS KellyDivine.com seems to be pretty alive. |
Hi camgirlshide, when you have such big lists of sites and programs it might be a good idea to frequently run bulk check on their domains and signup pages (and programs) to see if they are dead or changed something. It will save you lots of time and effort.

or give the topic its own forum like the content theft one. call it "Program and site closures"
|
It seems in some cases, the site may be up, but the affiliate link I have doesn't work. If you kill off an affiliate link it still gets removed.
The bulk removal scripts can work to a point, but when domains get bought and redirected somewhere else it's hard to detect that with a script. I was thinking of writing something that does a weekly diff of sites and generates me a list. This way, not only can I see which ones are dead, but I can also see which ones are getting updated. |
p.s. -- Kelly Divine did seem to be an affiliate link issue. I have fixed the link and taken her off the deleted list.

Jen Madison was gone like 2 years ago, and there were multiple emails in the days leading up to it

First step (for affiliate codes) is to use a stat program. Like Nifty Stats. Then you can check in details if the red/bad/dead shows up. Then make a database starting from program level to hardlink level, which can also be used for other various things. Then run a website monitor software from time to time. |
Curious, will any of you email the programs you promote when you hang it up this coming year?
Didn't think so. |
What constitutes dead to you? I tried some of those sites cuz i promote them, sites still seem up even tho I doubt they update with fresh content.

I consider the ones where the main site works, but my affiliate link doesn't work anymore the worst variety. |

And yes camgirlshide, you should be emailed, I think this is bad or rude business! :2 cents: |
Yeah, they should email - it's not hard.
|
Kelly Divine was promoting her affiliate program a few weeks ago here.....
Are you SURE about that one?????????????????? |
For the Record. I am VERY MUCH SO still around baby. My affiliate get paid weekly and my updates are Regular. So I am not sure where you got your information.

TALS (Tracking Adult Links System) is very handy for changing your codes quickly when you find dropped sponsors.
