Last chance for write offs!
There's about 11 days left in 2009 and if you've not spent enough this year it's your last chance to avoid getting some hot and raw backdoor action from the IRS
Order designs for now or pre-order them for the new year (small deposit required) and I'll send you an official invoice you can print out and give to your tax guy/CPA See my blog portfolio: Blogs See my Tube portfolio: Tubes See my TGP portfolio: TGPs See my Paysite Designs: Paysites email: [email protected] icq: 265808340 aim: mrsicks And yes I do mainstream design as well |
Actually, pre-ordering for next year does not give them a write off for this year, it gives them a write off for next year.
Not sure when they changed it, or if I just had it wrong all these years, but it is what it is. |
What about all the half finished shit I booked you for ages ago? I haven't heard from you in almost a week again. I ICQ'd you today, still haven't heard back. Please start finishing the work you got lined up.
I really didn't want to post this because I like you, and I like your work. But I'm sick of hearing nothing, and seeing you post looking for more work all the time. I'd at the very least like to see the current project finished in the next couple days. If things were moving along well i still wanted to go ahead with the other two designs after that, which I've paid half up front for. I'm starting to wonder. Come on man. |

Doesn't matter what or when you are billed, what matters is your actual paid expenses for the year. Can't deduct what you haven't actually paid.

Wow.. I was so much in debt in 2009, that I made almost no profits at all. But, I recently got out of debt. Everything is gonna change in 2010. Big money will be made - stay tuned.

I'm going to Tempe AZ the 30th to shoot and party over New Years and will return on the 6th.. So I wonder if half the flight will be a write off since I'm flying out this year or the whole flight will be since it is one trip that was started and payed for this year.. Same for the hotel.. but I pay for that after I check out so that might be different.. I've never had a biz trip over New Years before |
I happened to read about this a couple weeks ago.
The scenario they gave might be a situation where someone pre-pays for a year of hosting in November 2009. They can write off Nov and Dec amounts on the 2009 taxes, but the rest would go on 2010's. I always thought it was WHEN you paid, but apparently it is for when you are using it. Not sure for your example. The accountant would probably say go for it, but I was talking per the IRS. |
Thanks for reminding me about one of the reasons I moved abroad.
Taxes are for suckers. |
