Whos living/lived in Holland / Amsterdam?
I wanna get the inside scoop. Its been a dream for awhile to move to Holland because they seem to have reasonable laws, especially the obvious, pertaining to herb.
-If I get an apartment for 700 euros/mo, am I in the ghetto, or a high crime rate area? -What does an ounce of dank nugs go for? -Is it legal to grow plants? Is there a limit/license restriction? Do they not care, care about people growing? -Am I missing something when I see that Amsterdam/Holland pretty much appears to be heaven on earth? -Anyone know about the legalities involving selling marijuana seeds internationally from Amsterdam? |
I've lived there for two years in total.
700 euros wont get you much anymore. oz of weed, what selling it. it's illegal. or buying it to smoke, depends where you get it from, but a coffeeshop can't sell you an oz anymore, unless you're friendly with them. It is legal to grow plants but you are limited to I think 3. Selling seeds, you can ship to most of the EU, not France and Germany. One thing, my wife is Spanish and she can't do a Dutch winter. If you are used to seeing the sun at all between October and March. I'm from England originally and the Dutch winter is even greyer than England. |
- Depending on what city you are in 700e can get you a nice app. or a box in the ghetto.
- I dont have a clue, google for coffeeshops amsterdam, i never did any drugs and am not planning to do it either. - There is a limit of (i think) growing 4 plants for weed. - Yes your missing a lot. - Not sure why.. |
Frrrrooooncccckkkkk

shit what a buzz kill. I even found a video of a grow-op bust in Amsterdam where the cops were tossing 88 plants. Wish I knew what the penalties were for growing.

2 - don't get this question.. 3 - You can have 5 plants in house for private use. (They care alot.. You'll often see SEON units cruising the city and setting up actions like Swat teams.) 4 - ROFL. It might be heaven for tourists but not so much a heaven when you life here so long.. Get used to streets filled up for 60% with Arabs and Niggas and 10% Stoned Tourists on bikes. 5 - Don't know about this matter.. Anyway.. if you get to Amsterdam sometime hit me up I'm always up for a drink and tour guide trough Amsterdam. |
This has really opened my eyes. I can grow more legally here in Colorado than in Amsterdam from everything being told to me/im finding. Unless growing 200 plants is a slap on the wrist, Holland just got a whole lot less appealing lol.

well depends on the size, i am not even near Amsterdam but i do live in one of the bigger cities in the center and i pay 800 a month without any service cost that is. In Amsterdam you have to pay way more or the size of your apartment is way smaller. I would search for something around the 1400 mark that will get you something nice in the center.

ps, taxes is not one of them |
lame reason to move somewhere just for weed..... it sucks here in holland, everything is expensive, extremely greedy government: high taxes and the police force giving tickets all day instead of solving crime. Rain, cold, maybe a couple of weeks in the summer with good weather.. This country is very depressing.

I have a friend there who earn 10000 euro monthly and he says how he barely survives beacuse of high taxes. And he is not only one who says that,so i think i would never move there,i would go there stricly for touristic purposes.

On the net your income is usually in dollars. If Amsterdam you have to spent Euro. So to maintain your standard of living you will have to spent more money in Amsterdam.... |

Holland is a pretty good country to live in, but it is getting worse as our government has forgotten what democracy is. Also they want to control everything, they tell you what you can and can't do. It is getting to such ridicules proportions that i have the feeling that all nice things in life are getting banned for whatever reason by our government. |

Hrm. That doesn't sound good. Wonder if the European Union has anything to do with that. I think I've heard enough to start looking further east. Thanks to everyone providing answers - Im still going to try to at least vacation in Holland for at least a month =)

lol both you guys are hilarious. Hang in there, life will get better, when it does you wont find yourself trolling around so much. |
And wtf is the problem if "knobish" would go just for use softdrugs ?
Eh smoking some weed can do more nice then bad guys. If somebody is more happy to live in a other country cos he can smoke without to cross any border, why not. You just have to wish this man luck. Said by a dutchie, living since 4 years at a small island, and still smoke a lot. Just harvested my two balkoniplants. |
i have been sleeping in the park, it was for free ...
|
please come to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and have fun.

Stay away here, it is freezing.
look here to see where they deliver seeds, they are from Holland: http://www.sensiseeds.com You can also become an affiliate :) If i should leave my country i would set up a offshore company in a tax haven. Just stay here for 1 year as a 'tourist' and get an travel insurance for that. Than you can also take a look at other countries. Why tell people your making money:) I know somebody who lives 10 years outside the Netherlands. In Venezuela he says he pay taxes in Holland, in Holland he says he pays taxes in Venezuela. What i heard you better go to San Francisco and get a docter's recipe. |
