What a travesty. I will NEVER vote for a Democrat again. Pelosi and Reid are the most corrupt, underhanded people we have ever had in a power position. Money was handed all over the place to obtain the 60 votes ... that's right, bought votes. Would it be ethical for me to stand outside the voting booths next election and pass out $100 bills to get the people to vote Republican? I would be deemed as being extremely unethical in trying to buy votes. WASHINGTON IS SOOOOOOO CORRUPT with lobbyists and their suitcases full of money buying Senators & Representatives. Really disgusting if you really think of it.

And by the way, I am neither Democrat or Republican ... or a far right or far left bloviator. I am a common sense person that made a mistake and voted for smooth talking Obama. I truly am sorry for voting that way and want to apologize to all people for doing so. NEVER AGAIN.

You simply cant lose this is a real money maker :) I am an Australian and my broker is basically screaming at me to get in asap ... its a money train! Health insurance stocks hit an all time high recently and there is a reason .. if you have money then get in asap :)

Has a nice ring to it :winkwink: Big insurance is celebrating big this holiday season, but you needed to buy your stocks and options prior to last Thursday to make the big money...

Too bad we the people didn't know that any option was on the table except no bill when Lieberman and Nelson went calling... Any member of Congress who purchased insurance company stock or options in the last two months should be charged with insider trading...

They have been saying that they wanted to socialize medicine for the last 16 years, there is too much money in it for Washington NOT to want more of that pie. What is laughable was how everyone thought it was going to be FREE or at least not cost us anymore, has anyone looked at the tax rates in England and Canada recently, wait until that money gets taken out of the economy and see hows things slow down.

My guess is the solution after that will be to tell all of the business owners that their employees need higher wages and that they have to raise the minimum wage.

IMHO no one should be allowed up on the hill until they have run a business and made it profitable so that they could demonstrate that they have some idea of where money comes from vs just deciding that they need more money, so just raise taxes, be ready the bills are coming and you know who has to pay for it.

Its ok we forgive you. The only way out of this is to vote for a liberty minded candidate in 2012. A true liberty candidate not Palin or some other republican ass hat. But someone who believes in smaller government and more personal choices.

You know .... at first I thought Glenn Beck was a total nutcase filled with buffoonery and visual insanity but .... then I listened to the general message. And guess what? He is basically saying we are spending ourselves into oblivion and using a shell game of moving money back and forth so we, the taxpayers, loses track of it. Actually, they have been pretty open about how they plan to pay for the health care bill. It will come from a mix of cuts to medicare, taxes on high end health insurance policies, taxes on some cosmetic procedures (oddly enough included in this was taxes on tanning). It would also impose new fees of billions of dollars a year on insurers, medical-device makers, pharmaceutical makers and others. So it is pretty clear how they plan to pay for it and they claim it will actually cut the deficit. Of course I don't think you can really know for sure how much this is going to cost until it actually goes into action. Not to mention those that will get higher taxes will quickly find ways around paying them so the income to pay for the program will drop.

All of this, of course, is secondary to the fact that while the health care bill will help a lot of people it is nowhere near the reform that is needed. When they first started talking about this I said that I felt they would either never pass anything of real value and nothing would change or they would pass something that had some value but was bloated and expensive and would cost billions. It looks like I was wrong because they seem to have done both.

I love when the economy is in a shithole that passing this stupid fucking bill has been top priority. I'll never understand how anyone in politics can explain the logic behind that and pretty much knew that Obama was a joke once he started focusing on it.

There are some important things in this bill that needed to get through. It's not a perfect bill nor even a particularly good bill, but it does represent a step towards more important change that they would not have been able to start without these first baby steps. Either way the bill is going to go through even more changes.

We need a government reset.

Because it could be now or never for healthcare reform. In case you haven't noticed, we have an average quality healthcare system that costs so much money that it's inaccessible to many Americans.

How is forcing those people to buy from the same insurance companies going to fix that? Do you really believe that premiums will go down for any real period of time? Elective care services have decreased in cost over the years because insurance companies and the government isn't involved in the process.

Well, for one the government will be buying most of these people's insurance and paying the premiums so they will be forced to get it, but it will be paid for.

That said, I don't see premiums going down any substantial amount and I have a feeling it is going end up being a lot more expensive than they think.

The reason you can't take me seriously is because you've bought into the con hook, line and sinker. I've spent a lot of time doing my research. And I'm not talking about the government run education programs and that includes colleges. What you have been led to believe on MANY issues isn't whats really going on. I'm talking about REAL historical events they don't tell you about there. Such as your birth certificate which is an actual bond and title registered with the Department of Commerce. Now you might want to ask yourself "Why is it that they register my birth certificate with the Department of Commerce?" And "Why is it a bond?" Because they have been using those as collateral to borrow against to fund the government for years. You are linked to that "fictional corporation" further by you social security number and drivers license.

This is not some "conspiracy theory" it's a fact and a conspiracy that's been going on since 1921 as far as the birth certificate.. And even tough it caused so much controversy that the Act was allowed to expire in 1929 they have continued to do it by deception. 1936 as far as the SSN. Most of the real fucked up shit was done during Roosevelt's admin. Their game is up so they are coming up with new cons to do the same such as pay for health care of you go to jail. "Carbon credits" which taxes everything you do. Who and what did Obama and his money man Ben Bernake study? Roosevelt and the Great Depression. It's a new game of deception.

The Republicans had no plan whatsoever to reform health care. They never did and they never will. But the Democrats have actually managed to outdo the Republicans by coming up with an insurance company friendly plan that's even worse than no fucking plan at all.

And now, the American people have nowhere to go.

Let me remind all of you that are talking about "the" health care bill that there is not a health care bill. There are two health care bills that have to be reconciled into a single health care bill. There are major differences between the House Bill and the Senate bill and I personally believe that the differences will not be reconciled by the current Congress into a single bill to present to the President.

Should be obvious to everyone now its both sides that are both corrupt and they do these fake WWF battles to keep the morons from figuring out that they are playing both sides.

Last time I checked the rrepublcians had 6 years of total control. So they had a chance to make changes to health care and didn't. Hmmmmmmmmm. Why don't you sit and chew on that one for awhile. Actually THINK about why in 6 years not even ONE attempt was made to change health care that would benefit everyday people? I wonder why the republcians would not have been more pro-active about that?
