got to love the mall xmas present scams
I was at the mall yesterday and saw something pretty cool. it was a solar powered battery charger for your phone, camera, etc. Looked pretty cool but was $40. It was some foreign guy selling them from a kiosk
So i thought I would buy 3 of them, so he knocked the price down to $33 each. I go to hand him my Amex (always use this to buy anything so im protected) and he says he can not take Amex... hmmm, so maybe thats true, so as I debate wether or not to use a debit or credit visa card some guy walks up and starts complaining
the customer goes HEY! I JUST bought this and it does not work! the salesman goes what do you mean? you just plug in your device and it will charge (meanwhile I am watching him do that and its not working). Then he says to the customer "oh, you have to charge it for 3 hours on your computer first to get the battery going"
:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh
what a joke. its just an external battery with a STICKER that looks like a solar panel. wow, can't image how many people bought these only to find out they have been scammed.
IMO, you should be legally allowed to punch these people in the face
