If you press the red button and then JUST press the green once it fails.. and you didnt break any rules

You're supposed to press the red button, and then wait a few seconds with the green button on the screen.

You press the down arrow once, it changes, then press the up arrow, it changes, then press the up arrow again.

I didn't get the last question though.

Don't press any button, just wait.

I finally passed it. I feel like more of an idiot for trying so many times, actually, but it's very badly worded. To say "don't press the button twice" implies that you can press it once but not twice, instead of the action of "don't press the button" done twice.
