It's just beginning to snow 60 hours straight in Minnesnota
Coming up from Iowa and down from The Dakotas at the same time. It is going to stagnate on MN until at least Saturday. :(
Been a few years since we had 60 hours straight, 100% chance of snow in the forecast. Shaping up to be a tough winter. Been below 0 many times already. You know what we say up here in MN? Keeps out the riff raff. :) :xmas-smil22 Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to Everyone :xmas-smil22 Jesse Ventura For President in 2012 :) "Let's shake it up baby" :) |
Weather's beautiful here in Dubuque, IA.

60 hours straight - wow. How much snow is that - 20+ centimeters?
|
haha I've been thinking about you down in Iowa all day.
Actually Iowa often get more freezing rain and sometimes more snow than us. But they don't sit at 0 days -10 nights all February. :winkwink: But yeah you guys get alot of fricken precip in Iowa. We miss alot of Iowa storms. Sometimes they stall coming up from the gulf before it gets 2/3 the way up Minn. Or they sweep across more to Wisconsin or Illinois. But yeah nasty shit around the upper midwest for sure. Gonna be highs of maybe 20 days during the storm so that helps alot. :) But then back down to 0. :( |

Its the cleanup I am already tired of. Third storm already this year. But I have a hefty snow blower (walk behind) of course. :) |

Glad I went out yesterday and bought chocolate chip cookies (quality store made with Palm oil) :thumbsup and frozen pizzas (Green Mill thin and crispy which are often sold out). AND it was Taco Tuesday. :) Got 8 hardshells for 69 each. 4 with lettuce 4 without lettuce to bring home. :) I know Killswitch like Taco John's. Good shit maynard. ;) One good thing. You have a built in freezer (trunk) or fridge (back by the trunk) haha good for fast food addicts. Happy as can be (if I didn't have to go out into that mess) :) |

And of course to go along with them cookies, my usual 12 pk of St Pauli Girl (German $12.49) and a 12 pk of Corona (Mexican, $13.99) every two weeks or so. :thumbsup

You won't be driving to any casinos if this shit heads east. :) US Radar Current - http://www.intellicast.com/National/...cation=default Looks like you might be getting some fallout in the form of freezing rain right about now. :( |

I only go to one, and it's the next town over. Maybe a 30 minute drive down the interstate. But you could be right on heading out in this shit. |

Actually some poker and refreshments would be good about now. :thumbsup
Got 2-3" in the first two hours already. I think I underestimated. This could be upwards of 3 feet plus. Can't hurt biz tho. :thumbsup |
I'm to much of a pussy for that kind of cold.
. |
Speaking of biz, like Thanksgiving this is shaping up to be a good weekend as once again Xmas is on Thurs-Fri allowing hubby to get back home (or not go anywhere because of the weather) and be rested with free time (best combo for sales) come Sat and Sun.
It is also preceded by slow sales lately (to say the fucking least) and thus, I once again SMELL higher sales coming this weekend. :thumbsup :) |

Seriously it takes some getting used to. You are constantly changing from winter to summer and back. Major pain in the ass. I wish I had one climate, even if cold. So much easier. And no matter how you slice it 0 degrees or below just flat out sucks no matter how long you have been used to it. Worse part. My cat has to use the litter box now and can't so outside somewhere. Oh what a pain the ass litter is. :( |
I'm holed up here in Minneapolis with a liter of vodka and a bunch of movies. I heard 14-20 inches of snow, and it's supposed to be done by Saturday.

Minneapolis Weather - http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick...ield2=-93.2668 You got 100% chance of snow for 48 hours and usually Nat Weather Service doesnt say 100% unless they really mean 100% which is the weird part. If it snows like its is now it will be way over 2 feet. :) |
White Christmas :)

Notice no Canadians are checking in. They look at MN like we look at Mexico. South.. warm. :) SleazyDream 400 miles north of me says, "ahhahaha 0 degrees is shorts weather!" :) |

Proud to be the "leader" of the "Blue" states. :thumbsup :) (We currupt Iowa and Michigan to get them to come our "Blue" way) :) For fuck sakes we elected Jesse and we would do it again. What else do you do when it is zero degrees out. :) |

If you have your inebriation needs met (thanks Killswitch) its a great place for the holidays and a very white Christmas. ie Snow up the ying yang. :) For fun just go down Hennepin to around Shinders and someone will give you Minnesota hospitality and show you whatever you need. "yoyoyo bro what you be" It is so "blue" around that area you can smell it. :) |
I should call my Aunt up in Brainard and ask her how the lake is.
|
Frozen for sure. :) Although I stay off froz lakes. Never got into Ice fishing. To damn cold. I'm too much of a pussy to sit over an Ice hole and drink when I can drink at home. Thats for guys who need to get away from the wife. :winkwink:
Brainard. Paul Bunyon and Babe the Blue Ox country. Recently Artie Lange on The HS Show joking about Chas Bono becoming a man and being so macho, "I'm going to buy an ax and move to Brainard." hehe :) That cracked me up. That IS macho for sure. :) |
Me and my cousin dumped sleds in Mille Lacs a couple years ago. :Oh crap
Edit: after checking the map to make sure I spelt the lake properly I noticed Brainard isn't on the lake, and realized she hasn't lived in Brainard since my cousin graduated in 2002, she lives in Garrison now, since her nice house is on the lake... Her husband's family is insanely rich and when he died she got a good chunk of money and built a nice house on the lake. It sits most of the time, I think next year I'm gonna go up there for the summer and spend a month or 2. |
My Grandma lived in Cross Lake, population 85 or so, right near that area. :)
