First must download plugin and then upgrade

they always doing a fast upgrade, it turn my website into trouble because i try to update everytime they upgrade then i found out some of my plugins is not norking with their latest updates its to bad.............

fuck this shit... i'm doing this anymore

Really, WP is getting out of hand with updates. I have other things to do than update every other day.

To all you guys complaining and 'crying' (thats what it is) about updates.

In the almost 8 years that WORDPRESS has been available its had 11 updates.

That is less then 2 upgrades per year, much closer to 1 per year. Get a clue.

there have been more than 50 updates, in 2009 alone there have been closing on 10 or nearly averaging one every month :2 cents:

since December 2008, version 2.6.5, 2.7, 2.7.1, 2.8, 2.8.1, 2.8.2, 2.8.3, 2.8.4, 2.9, 2.9.1

True enough, sorry, core updates or releases there has been very few.

I still don't see with the issues of upgrading, if its that bad, don't use it.

You didn't have to upgrade to 2.9 or 2.9.1. There wasn't a security issue that required it or even made it a good idea. So while an upgrade does exist, why complain about it in this case if it wasn't necessary?

I will stay with old versions :glugglug I have so customized WPs that if I upgraded them most certainly my sites would stop work. So, I work with new versions however, with old ones I prefer only to do some security fixes... not upgrading.

I would wait for 2.9.1 stable first.

the bugs dont effect everyone, just a version of curl with some php versions.

You dont see people complaining on the 1000's of updates with their OS
