Fraud on RevShare

I'm noticing that any suspicious activity seems to always be on upfront payouts instead of RevShare... anybody get scammed on revshare? I'm thinking about just dropping up-front bounties and going revshare only on our programs. Seems like our bigger affiliates choose rev anyway so maybe that is the mark of a serious business partner? Thoughts?

Any affiliates in here who are legit and would have a problem with a Sponsor who only offers revshare?

what's your program?

Rev Share makes sense for the affiliate if they're sending a lot of joins. If they're just sending a few, PPS is more profitable for them (depending on the program's renewal rate, that is). As a relatively new affiliate, I prefer PPS but RevShare only wouldn't completely deter me if the program converted well and had a good renewal rate.

only idiot can scam on revs :2 cents:

It's not whether the program offers PPS or Rev share, I think you need to look at who's doing the payout. Is it the processor or is it the program doing the payouts, that will determine the scam.
Look at SatanCash, they offered rev share and scammed all their affiliates. Strapon cash offered rev share and scammed affiliates.

Happy Holidays :)

REVS is beeter for long time period, sometime revs bring more money then pps on first join

thought this was gonna be another SatanCash thread

PPS gets more fraud, Revshare still has plenty of it that you have to worry with it every pay period.

If you're selling something and have an affiliate program, be ready for fraud.

You should try our revshare program out if you have any live cam traffic. :)

Fraud exists everywhere. I wonder if SatanCash will get sued. Does anyone want to make a guess?

Yes, there is fraud on revshare, however usual they go after the high price options you have your on tour (ex. 3 months intial signup), so just watch out for those :2 cents:

There is fraud on both. Just know what your traffic is worth and sent it to the program that pays you the most. I don't care about sign ups, revshare, or shaving, I just want to get paid.

Thanks for the responses. In my case I'm the sponsor and am dealing with combating fraud on the part of affiliates who pretend to promote our sites but are just trying to launder stolen card data. (Collect payout before victims notice card fraud and create chargeback/refunds.)

I can see how for smaller affiliates the upfront share gets them to the minimum payout sooner, but (no offense) maybe the smaller affiliates aren't worth having if the cost of them is increased exposure to fraud rings?

I struggle with this because I want to honor anybody who is truly trying to create a business but at the same time, I don't want to be penalized for it. Hmm...

I like the pay per click / pay per impression sponsors (non-conversion based). That way, no matter what the conversions are, you'll get paid the same.
