there are tons of these sites - they just copy each others rapidshare links - industry is doomed, no way of stopping it - DMCA takedown requests are like taking an aspirin for a brain tumor

i really dont know what can be done, even though i'm relatively new to filming my own stuff i do watermark all my episodes and think thats about the length i can do for policing content as 1 single person. if you spend all day chasing fools you have no time to shoot more videos, edit/encode/upload etc

Surely the very best way of preventing piracy is to offer something the pirates can't? Real girl on viewer updates, such as suggested images, videos, possible gatherings and meets for real paying fans. Piracy fucks every industry. Hope the adult industry can keep fighting :(

Oh ... what about a custom codec written by the porn company, and embedded into a flash file that each time the member views is sent some kind of encryption shizzle that needs to be accessed and the codes change every time so the user's account is accessed. So the files aren't just MOV, AVI or FLV. ... err ... I dunno. Dreaming.

The only feasible way to cut down on this type of theft is DRM every video. I am pretty sure ZTOD used to do this (may not anymore). That is, each time the video is played it needs to acquire a license. There are workarounds but it makes it harder. Pretty much any scene on any site can be found on these sites.

I am even on the fence about letting users download videos from members area since people have this fucked up thinking that once they download it, they own the content. Same thing with DVDs.

Do they even NEED to download anymore? I dunno ... I have had internet that's perfectly capable of streaming any video without issue. Perhaps they could download iPod res videos, but the HD stuff is completely locked. Problem is, anyone who is desperate enough to rip off the video will likely find a way around.

Fuck them all.
