If your New to this Industry. Read these ideas
 

Hey guys and gals.

If you are new to this industry you have been reading a lot of threads and trying to figure out how to start what to do and where to go.. I hope to give some info here to help you. what do I require?? Simple. Promote out sites first. Honestly we have more than enough for years to come.

Ok first thing you need.

1. TIME! if you dont have at least 2 solid hours a day, dont bother.

2. Reading comprehension skills. If you dont understand what you read, and dont want to take the time to learn it and or look it up, then dont bother.

3. Some money. yes you will need some money to start. Not a lot. but some.

A. Domain.
B. Hosting
C. some scripts you might need.

4. Dedication. If you dont have it. dont bother.

If you KNOW that you have all of these. Then browse through the programs below. Then, BEFORE you join them, message me or mail me. Both are in my sig.

That all looks fair to me. And should be a wake up call to those wanting to start a porn site of sorts.

Sounds like common sense to me, but still nice as reminder for me to put more work into it!! ;)

1. on the thumb on the main page. if the site is about boobs. Show some boobs. They dont have to be nude just cleavage will do nice. But not just face photos.

2. The image galleries are showing wayyy to much wanking material..

If your making big sales, then leave it as is. if not, then remove some of or most of the spread pussy shots etc and see if things increase.

1. With regards to the thumbnails on the left I was getting too concious of boobs in every thumbnail... so that's why I mixed things up by adding face shots.
2. Hmm - this is a tricky one. The galleries from my sponsors are as is... and to top it off, competing sites show just as much pussy. But thanks for pointing this out - I have taken note.

Simple in my eyes at least. Download the gallery and make then content changes and then host it your self.

And for gods sake dont do what everyone else is doing.. DO what works for you.

If your making about 1:800 or better good for you. Try the changes and see if it improves. if not, put it back.

I just know for a fact that before all the FREE hardCore was given away ratios were wayyyy better than they are now.

I see enough jerking material on your site that I dont ever have to buy.

Think of it this way. When you are in a mall or public place and a girl that is what you like to see, walks by with a tight top or short skirt, or the perfect heels.. Dont you look at her and wonder what she looks like naked?? Well for 24.95 a month.....

I have to agree.. I have no clue why someone would post a 10 min free video. I guess they think they would have some sorta advantage over the next guy, in reality your hurting everyone.

those are some good tips, and hard work with the right scripts and hosting goes a long way

I have to agree with all those points. It's not easy making a buck in the adult industry but it can be done if you are dedicated enough. Good luck to all the newbies who read this thread.

Lol... and do you really think that they are going listen you?
Just look at india and pakistan "webmasters", "web gurus" and "super seo experts" on the other boards like DP or V7N. They have no idea what the internet is and how to 2+2 though, they spend hours on boards every day to ask questions like "How to make a webiste" or "What PR is" or "Why I can't save the whole internet on one pendrive" no shit. It's like a flood, you wont stop it. The worse for me seems to be the misinformation they create around the whole www. The web is already full of bullshit.

:thumbsup You totally nailed that one. I constantly get indian and pakistan webmasters on msn telling me they can get xxx.xxx visitors/day on my sites by seo easily and then a week later they contact me again with "I will work cheaper because I need money bla bla".

Now, if they really were good at SEO they would not be out of money now would they?

Newbies have visions of easy money. They will buy a domain, find some cheap scripts and hook up with some affiliate programs and then wait for all the money to flow in.

Then months go by and they come back here and post "What is wrong with my site? Nobody is converting! Whaaaa!! :( "

Then they read:
1. EVERYONE is pushing porn. The market of porn pushers is way over saturated
2. FREE PORN IS EVERYWHERE. Why pay when you can get it for free.
3. Piratebay is your friend when it comes to pay porn you want. Just about everyone nows about bittorrents and the ease of becoming a pirate is only a few clicks away.

The guy who thinks he can make a pornstar out of his GF/wife is also in dreamland. Same with the girl who thinks she is going to solve her financial problems with Adult Cams. Again, the biz is massively over saturated.

5 should certainly be "common sense". :) But there might be a need for a D in point 3, which is fresh content...LEGAL fresh content. There are far too many sites that recycle old content or throw up tons of pics that are illegally obtained via emule or similar.

The oversaturation problem...you'd think it would be a deterrent, but it's not. Of course, then you have 5000 sites of fail because they're not doing anything any different than anyone else, and the big guns have all the goodies and all the traffic that the copycats only wish they had. And even as such, coming up with something unique isn't easy, as virtually everything has already been covered. I was fortunate to stumble across an untapped market and a fledgling market at the same time and I hope to capitalize on both, but it's not going to be without a shitload of work and I already both know it and accept it.

I don't think my wife could be a porn star. Her sisters, maybe, but since neither are willing to try, it becomes a no by default. And I'm certainly not gonna try to be a porn star. :D

Someone should make one of these threads about "what it takes to secure models", as things are very different now than they were 10 years ago when I was a content shooter. I'm sure plenty of people, including me, could use some pointers. :)
