So I finally got myself back into the gym...

Wasn't a New Years resolution, but I have been going for about 3 weeks now. I started off twice a week and now I'm going daily with a trainer. Besides being awfully sore, it's great to be feeling better and already seeing physical improvement. Next, hopefully, quitting smoking for good sometime soon.

Anyone else getting back into the gym?

:)

Brad

Penthouse Tony 12-28-2009 05:13 PM

I need to get back in there too. Good for you.

Platinumpimp 12-28-2009 05:14 PM

The rush you feel after training is addictive. :2 cents:

It's most definately a good idea to stay into shape!

I have been going 5 days a week for the last 2+ years. Lost over 30lbs.
Just remember days off are as important and day you goto the gym. Make sure to give each muscle group time to recover.

I have just started on a new 3 day split going heavy tuesday, thursday and saturday and cardio training on Monday & Wednesday....

I just hired a trainer to get in shape. I have a gym here at my place that I spent a ton of money on this year, so he will come 3 days a week to train me. I have not been working out the last 60 days and feel like shit. I start on the 3rd .. Quit smoking Brad it's the best thing I ever did!

AIbenjamink 12-28-2009 05:27 PM

I have been lifting for years. Your time and dedication in the beginning will yield the personal results to fuel your continued motivation to stick to your gym routine.

MikeSmoke 12-28-2009 05:31 PM

Not yet, since my schedule's pretty tough, but hopefully soon.
Have to get rid of the extra weight I put on when I quit smoking earlier this year - going to get back on the stationary bike here, and hopefully will be able to work my way back to the gym after my daughter starts school. :helpme

If I skip going to the gym for more than 3 consecutive days, I feel sick.

I do it all at home with some good music , weights ,dancing all by myself. The natural high is just like when you got the biggest check you ever got !

magpan 12-28-2009 09:07 PM

I'm in the gym 5 days a week. It is full of hot, Asian actresses and models so I keep a pretty regular schedule. :) And, I quit smoking at the beginning of November, after 11 years. It's nice not smelling like an ashtray... :winkwink:

Keep up the workouts, you're only going to get healthier and stronger. :)

The rush of ripping people off is addictive for you too isn't it?

Within a healthy body is a healthy mind.

RadicalSights 12-29-2009 04:41 AM

Why do people go to a Gym? I don't get it.

I don't need people watching me work out.

Just buy a Bench or a Bow Flex.

You'd really need a lot more than that to effectively work out. I feel like I don't do as much in home workouts either.

But to answer the question, I'm back in the gym from traveling for the holidays.

The Ghost 12-29-2009 07:12 AM

Just started going back. It feels great !

wizzart 12-29-2009 07:55 AM

GTS Mark 12-29-2009 09:44 AM

I hope you don't lose your twink look. :(

CreamyMedia 12-29-2009 10:27 AM

I have an outbuilding full of heavy duty weights and some machines. I train on most days, just one bodypart per day with heavy weights.

I currently weigh in at about 260 lb and although I`m a little too heavy round the waist (due to the huge amount of food I eat) I`m very strong and in decent shape :)

For some it is the monthly expense that keeps them going . . . they don't like to think they are wasting their money.

Jimmy Nobody 12-29-2009 11:30 AM

I workout regular but the food around the holidays is tough to not eat. Eating properly is the key to looking good. You can workout till your blue in the face but if you don't eat right forgetabouit! Eating small meals every 2-3 hrs with hitting the gym a few times a week will make a huge difference in anyone.

Ripper - RiotDesign 12-29-2009 11:48 AM

All day, every day. Even Sundays, gym is really addictive :winkwink:
