My site dropped from google search results
 

Hey there.

My page was in top 10 for some keywords until yesterday night. But then suddenly my page disappeared from most of those keyword results. I am still getting #1 result from the most important keyword but almost 45% of my google traffic is just gone. The results didn't drop lets says 3-4 to 8-9 either. I am not in top 200 results anymore. Similar thing happened once more before but it was only for one keyword and I got it back in 2-3 weeks.

I wonder if this is temporary or permanent. I didn't do any big changes on the page. Definitely didn't change the headers or codes. I just added, replaced some banners and added new links.

If someone give me suggestions about how to fix this issue I really appreciate it.

same thing happened to one mine yesterday.

although it happens periodically. maybe like 3-5 days then back to normal. don't do anything drastic.

although new algo is being rolled out now so may be turbulent couple weeks.

Thanks for replies. It seems like I got my result spots back today so it only cost me a few hours of stress. I started to work harder though since yesterday so it will effect my business in positive way in long run I hope.

It happens all the time and will return usually withing a day or so.. Dont change much and dont worry. Just keep going at about the same pace and things will work out

Same thing happened again. It took only one day before I got my spots back. But this time already have been 4 days and no luck. Annoying as hell.

google will always be tweaking and changing, nothing is guaranteed as time goes by

I had the same thing happen.

A Site that was sitting in some nice spots for several keywords dropped off the map for most of them... a couple came back but are nowhere near as high as they were before.

a definitely agreed with this. Google always move.

There is a chance google-bot stopped by while there was a glitch with the host, and your site was down for a second or two. This happens every great once in a while. There is no surefire way to get google-bot to come back by, but one way is to try and get some new links from other sites. If google-bot swings by that page before yours, it should reindex your site! :pimp

It happened once again. My spot was between 1-3 for months. Suddenly it dropped to 163 a few hours ago and screwed my traffic big time. So depressing.

That's normal...

Well it is not normal at all dropping from 1 to 170 in a minute without doing any major change in site. And it happened only for google.com english site. At other google sites like uk, de, etc.. I still have my spot.

Though it doesn't change the reality %70 of my traffic is gone.
