Go to store or order it online???
 

Here I sit.

I want to buy a book, should I drive across town and have to ask some college idiot sipping coffee if he/she can look up the book I need and then I have to go walk down aisles and aisles of idiots and books trying to locate a book, hopefully can find the book, if they eve have it on the shelf.

or

should I just order it online, couple of clicks, book is in stock...get it for less, and not have to leave the house?

Not to mention, the book store charges more for every book than online.

I want to just go to the store, but have grown too comfortable sitting back and just ordering things. I have gone to store recently and they didnt have what I wanted and was like "next time im just ordering online"

ANyone else feel the same?

i think i am going to drive over and pick up the book(s) just to mingle with general public on this fine morning. I will put on my best smile and proceed into the flock.

damn store doesnt open until 9 am LOL see, I want to order it now and go about my day. retail will be obs0lete one day. all products will be mailed via internet tubes to our home ;)

this is true if you have the time to wait. I order most online, but there are days when you just can't wait :)

I would at least call to make sure they have it before making the drive.

It's like a catch 22 right now with brick and mortar retailers. Stores start keeping less stock because more people are buying online, customers buy online because stores keep less stock.

If I want a book that hasn't been on the times best seller list in the past few years or doesn't have "for dummies" in the title I've come to accept I will probably have to buy it online. Same for movies, if it's not a recent wide release chances are I will have to order that too.

Barnes and Noble is usually pretty decent with their dvds since they keep alot of critereon collection in stock, but for a "book" store their selection really sucks. The one by me didn't even have any Dennis Lehane in stock. Fucking Dennis Lehane- famous for Mystic River, has Shutter Island coming out shortly, nothing on the shelves. It's fucking bullshit.

While this may sound depressing, its actually NOT!

After spending 9 months with my preggo wife, and now having baby cry in the night, trust me when I say, I do not mind getting out, if ONLY FOR THE DRIVE!!! ;)

The drive is actually the only part I enjoy, sitting back, riding with The Ramones blaring, thats when life is good.
