if u have NFL Sunday Ticket check out Colts vs Bills

not surprising for Buffalo in January but they're playing in a total blizzard and there are almost 80,000 fans - horrible team but great fans

L-Pink 01-03-2010 12:16 PM

Will those 80,000 freezing fans see the Colts tank another one .....

.

L-Pink 01-03-2010 12:44 PM

I hope the Colts lose their first playoff game.

AsianDivaGirlsWebDude 01-03-2010 01:44 PM

Manning was pulled early in the 2nd quarter, after completing 14 of 18 passes.

The 4th quarter score is 30-7 for Buffalo...what a steaming pile of Buffalo shit...

Fans are great but the market is too small and there isn't enough tradition there to justify them not being the first Canadian NFL team.

I live in Indy and I kinda feel this way myself. Fucking pussies.

Mutt 01-03-2010 01:52 PM

if the Colts don't at least make it to the Super Bowl that decision to tank a potentially perfect season will go down in history as one of the biggest fuckups ever.

L-Pink 01-03-2010 02:05 PM

Manning should have acted like Brett Favre ... "Bench me? I don't think so" :1orglaugh

troncarver 01-03-2010 02:36 PM

I am on my way back from this game and will post pics of me with no shirt on in the blizzard

From this angle, this animal looks like it is gigantic and taller than those trees.

Bullshit.

It's always fun watching a snowbowl once or twice a season! Watching them play like they're on ice skates. Cold fingers making passes look like wounded birds falling from the sky.. shit like that, lol.

I live north of syracuse and we got around 40 inches of snow on saturday and sunday combined.

i went to the cuse pitt game on saturday man that was tough to watch in the second half - you a big cuse bball fan? you work for pimproll?

Tom_PM 01-04-2010 12:07 PM

I'm not a huge sports fan in general, in that I dont really follow one team or college or whatever like that. But I do like to follow it when the local guys get some national attention like final 4 and such. I'm currently in livepool, just north of syracuse. They're saying downtown got 20 inches, fulton got 42.. I think there's 2.5 to 3 ft sitting on my car right now. Damn lake is a snow machine.

i'm pretty sure that Cowher is just using the Bills to get more money out of another team. As a lifelong Bills fan I would be overjoyed if Bill Cowher took the Bills job. Working in the Bills favor is that it seems some of the jobs Cowher wanted might be keeping their present coaches.

I don't want Brian Billick - I'd rather they take some up and coming offensive co-ordinator over Billick.

Have you ever been to the area? The Bills aren't just Buffalo's team...they are all of Western NY's team.

They might play a game or two in Toronto, but that's as far as that will go.

phypon 01-04-2010 04:05 PM

Nice to see some fellow bills fans here. Do any of you post on TBD?

troncarver 01-05-2010 03:50 PM

are you high? Not enough tradition? you wouldnt have chicken wings or as anyone outside of buffalo calls them..buffalo wings...if it wasnt for the Bills and the traditions of the tail gates and the party town it is....

i am from buffalo, and can tell you that western new york supports the Bills better than most cities...good seasons, bad seasons...the city loves their Bills

buffalo in general loves their sports teams....the city just isnt as popular and like most steel cities, suffers from population...ticket prices increasing, shit performance from shitty coaches (not a good one since Levy)...etc....and Ralph Wilson not wanted to pass the team on is why its opening up to canada getting a team....plus TONS of ppl from canada come to Bills games and support them....

Two Bills Drive? nope - but I used to be a regular poster on the Bills Usenet newsgroup back in the day. I listen to WGR sports radio online alot.

The Bills are being held hostage by an increasingly feeble minded 91 year old man - pretty hopeless situation, similar to Al Davis in Oakland. Ralph has always meddled, always been cheap - he uses the excuse that other owners of NFL teams make so much more money than him. All I know is that he bought the Bills for 60 measly thousand dollars and the franchise is now worth close to a billion dollars. Dumb old man, he can't take that money to the grave. And the Bills still make a profit, I think about 40 million a year.

He's a dick - he's torturing the people of Western New York. All he would have to do is say as long as there are local buyers for the Bills when he dies at something close to market value he will put it in his will that the Bills will be sold to local buyers. But he has refused to do that. Toronto doesn't even want the Bills, most hardcore NFL fans in Ontario want the Bills to stay in Buffalo.

Maybe for once the Bills will get lucky and Bill Cowher will fall in their lap. He's not any saviour but at least the Bills would be relevant again with Cowher.

HandballJim 01-05-2010 05:45 PM

Even though I am in NYC they did not show it unless you have the NFL channel...makes no sense NY state team should have been on local channels also. It sure would have been fun to watch with all that snow....reminded me of a playoff game in the 70's Bills vs. Vikings in the snow.

Torn Rose 01-05-2010 05:57 PM

As a die hard Colts fan I am insulted by the idea of sitting players for 4 weeks is a good idea.

Had the Colts played hard and lost the game, fine, no issue at all, it happens.

But to pull damn near all the starters and than throw your #3 QB with no starting WR or TE to throw to and to do it at home? Who do you think the fans were booing there? Caldwell threw Painter under a bus and that is insulting.

Next time just forfeit the damn game and save me the hassle.

PornMD 01-05-2010 06:06 PM

How many of those people came because it was vs. the Colts, even if it was the last week of the season? They do have a good fanbase though. Surely they wouldn't have a problem being respected in sports media if they showed an ounce of goodness, whereas the Chargers haven't lost a game in December in nearly 4 years (or is it 5? I lose count) and no one gives a shit. 1 win less than the Colts, 3 more than 3rd/4th seed but still they're like Colts this Patriots that. They were even talking about the Steelers more despite them ultimately not even making the f'ing playoffs! :(
