Paying taxes (european webmasters)

Hey guys

I need help on how do you pay your taxes. How can I document my income if I receive my money by epassporte and I don't have any invoice for justify this money? I'm european but the sponsors I work are of outside europe

someone in this situation?

Thanks

AdPatron 01-05-2010 05:08 PM

What country?

The Duck 01-05-2010 05:11 PM

Can you declare it as income from work and not from business venture? Then you should be ok and do not need invoices depending on where you are located.

It's going to be country specific and, depending on the country and how long you've been trading and having an income, you could be in trouble if you haven't paid taxes already!

andrej_NDC 01-05-2010 07:28 PM

Just pick it up from epass, load your business bank account with it and declare that as income.

Fat Panda 01-05-2010 07:28 PM

just dont pay taxes

Yeah, with the new banking laws in Europe you have to show where amounts larger then ?1000 comes from. If I were you I would just print out statistics from each sponsor, verifying how much they paid out to you or how much you earned over a certain time. Then add in a clarifying letter and making sure that the amounts declared are the same or very close to the amounts in your Epass.

Or go seek professional banking help. They will tell you to put up a Ltd in England (regardless of where in the EU you live) because of the great Brittish corporate laws and the free establishing right now effective all accross the EU. Basically, if you have a mothercompany based in England, you have free right to establish a sub-division of that company in any other EU country. Even if the mother company is only a PO box and has no real business. So the mother company acts as your entrance ticket, and as long as your sub division company only do it's business in your current country and files it's taxes there, you will be ok.

The above is just an overview and should not be taken as exact legal or financial advise. Please be adviced that your specific situation might be different or dependent on other specifics, rendering the above information useless in your case.

You have three options :

1. as Andrej suggested, you can wire money from epass to your bank account and declare that as income - make an invoice for that sum and post epassporte as the payee. This method is not right thou and you could have problems with the tax people. But, maybe not, if you can talk yourself out.

2. use epass as a normal bank account, print out the statement and make invoices to match the sums. This method should be good enough.

3. print out the epass statement and add it to your accounting, fuck the invoices. this might work too if you have a toterating taxman :)

If you also use epass to pay some other people, you have to collect invoices for those payments too, unless you are using Andrej`s example.

In the EU the bank can report to any revenue agency deposits in to your personal bank account over 1000 euro.

Just registrar a off-shore company with a bank account which gives you ATM card and you good.:2 cents:

Does Visa Virtual card for ePass work on ANY gambling/casino/betting site?

1. Get paid in ePass
2. Put money in to a gambling account
3. Get a cheque every two weeks and claim it as gaming winnings

I know in Australia the government can't tax your winnings, I don't know about other countries.

i write invoices, declare it as "Marketing Commission", put in the adress and company of the sponsor, just never send it to them.

and the money i take out from Epass and put it in my cashbook as "received in cash"

and as long they are out of europe there's also no VAT problem

This would work in Sweden but almost 0 gambling sites take the epassporte visa.

Yeah like any gambling site would just let anyone launder money like that.

Use a gambling site to deposit and withdraw money without actually gambling, and your account won't last long.

They actually care about the small guys the most. They can't touch the big companies, as they have too many important friends on the right positions...but the small guys can't defend themselfs, a perfect target for the government.

Yes but in a few places you can make at least $500 equivalent without having to pay tax. :)

Offshore companies can be a very safe solution but you need to speak to the right people about it :)

big_joe 01-06-2010 06:02 PM

Epass is just a financial bank. But you have to print and record those Epass statement in your financial accountant books.

As invoice, you can use screenshots of your sponsors stats, and payments.
