Video editing recommendations?

My helmet cam outs out files in .mov format. Movie maker does not work wit .mov

Any recommendations on a video editing software that works with .mov as well as mpg, avi etc?

TIA

That is "puts out" not "outs out."

Try Final Cut Pro on the Mac or Adobe Premeire and Sony Vegas on Windows

Yeah, nothing I want to spend $600 on. Windows machine, would like to be able to just edit out part of my video and add it to another to create a separate result.

Or, take 4 videos, take the best out of each to create a 5th.

Lloyd... been using Pinnacle Studio Ultimate 14 for the home videos here! Probably work for what you are looking for as well! Good Luck!

How much do you want to spend AND what sort of Computer system do you have?

I say if you are running a MAC to go with Final Cut Pro or one of its versions.
For PC I would recommend Sony Vegas or its home studio version.

This may do the trick. I am running on my wireless now so download pretty slow. I presume this is to convert, then I can use movie maker, correct?

Can't say enough good things about Vegas Video. I've been using it for years.
