Dramas of teh governments: Treasury Secretary Geithner in deep shit
Geithner called to explain AIG bailout secrecy: Geithner faces hot seat again as lawmakers react to 'troubling' e-mails on AIG bailout secrecy
I think we all knew there was some hidden shit involved with AIG because it just seemed absolutely ridiculous that we were shelling out SO much to that ONE company. Sure enough, it wasn't all to that one company. Just awful...I mean let's say for a moment that Geithner was purely the only one calling the shots on this and it wasn't someone higher than him. We basically have to have our faith not in 1 person, not in just all the people that make up congress or the executive/judicial branches of government, but in pretty much thousands upon thousands more people to not be corrupt for shit like this not to happen. I'm beginning to believe it's impossible for there to be a government without a serious level of corruption. I'll get shit for this, but say what you will about governments where only 1 person pretty much rules the land and calls most of the shots, but at least in that case, you have 1 person that will either be good or not good. Voting has become no more than what the matrix is - a means of keeping people docile/happy while they're getting the life sucked out of them with the facade that they actually control their leadership and what their government does. Clearly we the people can not. It probably WILL take a serious uprising for anything to change, and I don't think people have it in them because this is the lazy generation. I don't really give a shit myself - I try to live my life and control what I know I have control over. I don't have a problem making enough money to get by even of so much is being leeched to further fill those conniving bastards' pockets. I just worry about the people that don't have that luxury. |
who gives a shit. but here's a bump for those that may
