Can I please get some advice on my website.
 

Hello, I just got accepted for registration, however I have been reading the forums constantly since I found gfy two weeks ago.

Anyways, I recently started up a website three weeks ago called, Highly Intoxicated dot com, and it has been doing fairly good. I've started sending traffic from one of my other sites to try and drive up the sales, and it has worked somewhat.

Since monday I have gotten 4,500 Unique Visits, with 55,000 page views, and of those, I was able to make 3 sales with Dare Dorm. At the moment my conversion rate is 1:105. Is this a good conversion rate/good start?

I know the basics, and am able to get a thousand or so people to the page a day, but I would like to know what you guys think the next step should be.

Should I work on the design more? Spend more time submiting links on directories/free sites?

I feel somewhat stuck, but maybe I just need to be patient and let more time pass.

i didnt like the look of ur site, it doesnt look professional, or may be its my thinking.

but 1:105 is damn good ratio IMO.

as i am also new to this , i cant tell u what u should do, may be big guys here can tell.

doing link building and directory submissions works perfectly its why a lot of webmasters use this service.

Just keep reading and promoting sounds like your on the right path and good niche congrats on the sales!!!!

Looks like you have very good stats so far, a ratio of 1:105 is low, and if your 4.5k visitors are looking at 55k pages they obviously like the site (12 pageviews per visitor is good).

The next thing I would do, as I think most people would, is grow the thing. Get some link exchanges and traffic trades running here at gfy, up the number of visitors every way you can... and make $$$.

I've never heard a wembaster say "I just need to be patient and let more time pass".

I have created a new theme and continued to submit links.

Haven't gotten any sales in the past few days, but that's because I spent the majority of the time redesigning my site.

Can you guys take a look and let me know if there is anything i should add/remove?

the design is great, although you need more content, I could help you with that, some blog entries and some more embedded vids will make your site bigger... hit me up.. so we to chat more about this...

Site looks good! If it were mine I would...
Align main table to the center (my preference only)
Make the nav buttons mesh in with your header (complete feel)
Make your post div borders transparent
Add some mouseover effects to your pager

Sounds like you know what you are doing by bringing quality traffic to your site. There is no one way to do it, it all works. Invest in a daily planner and map out a game plan. Great niche and your site looks fine, don't worry about it with ratio's like that.

it's not bad, if I was searching for drunk girls having sex and came to your website I would probably scroll down to watch some videos or look for pictures. I don't like the calls to action at the start, or rather the lack of them. The pic at the top right draws attention, your icons and logo seem to distract. I don't think I looked at the tabs. The logo is too pink and has too much in flowers going on but guessing this is a free template. The page titles I would switch around. "Highly Intoxicated" I would put at the end. The page title structures are all over the place on other pages.

Thank you for your analysis of the website. I am currently a student at university and am learning more by the week, both through school, and through my own research.

I definitely need to alter the buttons on the menu bar, and perhaps tone down the banner.

It is a free template for drupal, although i completely changed the way it look. I admit, the flowers in the background were just thrown in to try and bring the site together, which i guess didn't work, lol.

I will modify my site based on what you have mentioned, and report back.

That is something I will have to take into consideration, and possibly change the moto/add a disclaimer stating all pictures and videos were taken with consent.

Good start. 1:105 is excellent imo but probably not sustainable long term so don't get your hopes up.

I would say watch out with your content... some sites do not like mixing their content with other content and promoting different sites with each other's content. I would try to stick with one affiliate on any page and make sure it's their content you're promoting on that page.
