More spider food to get people to this thread
I've been trying to transfer my last two domains from DNS for over 3 weeks now. After the script failed, I tried emailing Support (4 times) and calling 3 times and never got even an autoresponder. Today I wrote a nasty email to support@ both domainnamesystems.com and cheapies.com. Guess what? BOTH are Gord. Our email string below:

I've about had it with all of you people. Cheapies.com says go back to
Domain Name Systems, but I have called 3 times and emailed Support 4 times
and no one ever replies. YOU'VE PISSED OFF THE WRONG PERSON.
GET ME MY GODDAMNED EPP CODES SO I CAN TRANSFER MY DOMAINS. I'VE BEEN TRYING
FOR 3 WEEKS NOW, AND CANNOT GET A CODE FROM THE BROKEN SCRIPT, AND NO ONE IS
REPLYING TO MY REQUESTS!!!
I AM GOING TO COMPLAIN TO ICANN IF I DON?T GET A RESOLUTION BY TOMORROW.
CHEAPIES: THIS IS YOUR RESELLER ? IF YOU CAN'T GET THEM TO PROVIDE THE
SERVICE THEY?RE REQUIRED TO, I?LL REPORT YOU TOO.

Well maybe no one replies because you are abusive, drop F bombs, even
this one has a "GD" in it. First class there Roxanne.
I have instructed our staff, to ignore requests such as yours, with no
exceptions. There's only so much S*** & abuse we take for the lousy
dollar we make on your domain name.
As to transferring your domain name, I have zero problem with you
moving them to abuse someone else, but we have a policy requiring you
to positively identify yourself prior to a domain name being released.
Domain Transfer and Registrant Validation:
We have found that the traditional ICANN policies of providing epp codes have
a security flaw in them, and as our business does not do business face to face,
we needed to institute a positive identification system to ensure that
the domain
registrant is the transferring party.
Please find following our policy regarding validation of domain
transfer requests:
1. All domain transfer requests will require a positive identification
process. This means in order to remove the registrar administrative
domain lock you will be required to fax one of the following:
- a legible copy of a current drivers license in the name of the
domain registrant
- a legible copy of a current passport in the name of the domain registrant
- a letter from the corporation signed by a senior officer on
corporate letterhead, if the registrant is a corporation.
additionally, a letter outlining the domain name to be transferred.
Our fax # is: 1.416.946.1794
Once these positive identification processes have been completed, and
the transfer request identified as bonafide and initiated by the
domain registrant , the transfer will be allowed to proceed.
This policy and requirement is a part of your account operating and
domain registration agreement.
Basically Rox , tone down the aggressive language , and my staff will
move forward.
And Fwiw, I own Cheapies as well.
Unless you just want to get into a pissing match, I can go either way here.

Gord,
Not here for a pissing match, just looking for the support and service I expect. I'm the customer who's been ignored after 7 different contact attempts, so yes, I used "F-bombs" and "Goddamned". Are you kidding me? You've worked in the adult industry as far back as I can remember, so I'm quite sure you're not going to get the vapors over such common vulgarities. You want "abusive," try dealing with club promoter clients...
Every Support ticket that comes into mobileStorm gets an immediate autoresponder and a human being follows up on it within 24 hours. Forgive me for expecting the same type of service when I'M the client and have been for over 10 years.
Strike One: Broken scripts for EPP, Support and several other key functions.
Strike Two: Sending 4 emails and leaving 3 voicemails and STILL not getting a reply
Strike Three: Google Search "Gord + DomainNameSystems" and the first several results are people complaining about the exact same thing, including members at GFY. https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=947864
Furthermore, I'm sure you made a few bucks on the domain name I had for 10 years that you tried to sell back to me for $200 before the end of the month when I forgot to renew it on the 15th - and I've also been referring others to you to register their domains for all these years.
I'll fax you my ID and this printed email and you can get these codes to me ASAP.
I've turned the registrar transfer lock back ON so that no one can swipe my domains while I wait for the codes. Let me know when I can turn them off and transfer.
Thanks,
Rox

Were any of you around for the "anything.anything" TLDs (such as "roxanne.brown") that were supposed to become available? THAT's how I was first introduced to DomainNameSystems. I had all my domains there, and even though I sold most of them off, I was keeping the last 3 there out of loyalty. When they sold my main .com domain out from under me 2 weeks after it expired, my loyalty went bye-bye. I'm going with NameCheap now. Everyone bitches about GoDaddy (and they do suck), but getting an EPP code was easy and the transfer took place within 2 days.
