Have tried to see it in 3D twice, once in Ohio and once in San Francisco, sold out both times... may try again tonight and buy tickets 3-4 hours in advance.

It was fine, but don't go crazy about it.

Visually awesome ofcourse, but story kinda simple and preachy. Worth seeing in a theater, but 10 times? You need a hobby! :)

you couldn't find one single example where i have issues with authority. we need authority. we need government. we need police. we need big businesses. we need industry. etc etc. i continually poke fun of people here because this industry is full of dysfunctional people who have a deep rooted resentment of authority... and the arguments are often quite absurd.

... if by "anti social" you mean "i think most people in this business are undeserving of any respect because they're full of shit" - well.. then ya got me!

having a strong opinion about a movie is very odd right? why would you care? people have strong opinions and want to voice them, because other people have strong opinions about it. why does a high school kid need to wear t-shirts featuring all his favorite death metal bands? because first and foremost, he's saying "fuck you, i'm nothing like you". its not about the shirt or the band or the music or the song.. its about self identity and how he wants to be seen by others.

at the end of the day, its an ok movie that is visually stunning in IMAX 3d. it will just be another puppet show on DVD. but going so far out of your way to let everyone know you won't see it "because...." is a simple way of saying "whatever you do, i'm going to do the opposite because i'm my own person and no one has influence or control over me ... but me" (hence all the played out "sheeple" comments)...

i think this industry needs a lot of people to stand up and call people out on their bullshit. this is a business rife with theft and fraud and cock suckers lining up to lick the asses of those doing the stealing and licking the ass of the guy who stealing from him.

and personally.. i dont care about theft and fraud. its a fact of this business. its something you deal with as a part of surviving and being competitive and the more honest you are, the more you'll put yourself at a disadvantage to all the brainless twats in this biz that don't care. if you want to bang peoples cards and you sleep ok at night.. i don't care. i sincerely don't. the only time i care is when people do shit and then say "huh, i dont do that" which is then followed up with 20 posts of others saying "he's a stand up guy, top notch... a real bro" and doing so when they all know the truth as well.
