Looking For A Nice Hotel In Paris???

Anyone stayed at a really nice central hotel in Paris? Looking to spend around $300-400 per night, close to all the tourist stuff and in a safe area. Can you post links here with your recommendations, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

This one should be good

My sister used to stay there all the time. (when she accompanied her boss to Paris) but for the regular man its something for a special trip.

Forget those 2 before, Balzac is the only one to go.

Damn, you guys know how to live. I always wind up in Pigalle or Montmartre in some three star above a brasserie.

Just get an apartment. I usually stay around Le Marais for 50 Euro/night.

AdultEUhost 01-12-2010 08:03 PM

Le Méridien Montparnasse is nice, close to many sights, and reasonably priced. :thumbsup

If you are a member of the Starwood hotels SPG program, you can get special pricing...

I like this one myself:
http://www.concorde-lafayette.com/en/

And the Les Cars (Air France Bus) goes right there.

The city is small. You'll be close no matter where you stay.

You have never been to Paris....

Skip the hotels. Get a furnished apartment.
Apartments are nicer, cheaper, more central, and you can relax a lot more in them.

Very nice apartments, in your price range, and all over Paris, so you can pick and choose where you want to be.

If it's your first time in Paris, try to stay somewhere in the 1st - 4th arondissements, or the 7th - that will have you in the middle, near where you want to be.

If you know the place well, pick whichever arrondissement you like the most :)

Hilton Paris Eiffel Tower Hotel

You want central, this is it. One block to the metro, one block to the river and one block to the Eiffel Tower. Price clearly varies by the booking source and dates.

Stayed there for around $150 usd per night using hotwire.com
Trick is to search out 4 stars within the district that Eifel Tower is located. They wont name the hotel until after the purchase, but you will see significantly lower prices.

Use travel search engines like gtahotels.com, hotwire.com, kayak.com, etc.

Good luck and enjoy your visit.

WOW some of those are amazing for the money, however on the dates I am looking for none are available. I emailed anyway hoping for a cancellation. Thanks for the help, hopefully I'll get one of them.

We stayed here for a week as well. Very nice facility and close to the stations, a nice restaurant row and some clubs as well. Have no recollection of what we paid but it seemed reasonable for Paris.

Thank you! You the man!!! When I was a model (long ago lol) I used to live near The American Church near the "American section of town" and had no idea how expensive it was till my agency sent me the bill. I thought they were joking and told them to bite me for bringing me over there and not getting me work because of my height even though I told them I was 5-11 1/2 when they met me. I was there for a month and it was like $2000 or some shit and this was back in the early 90's. You gotta watch out for the Arab cab drivers who hate Americans they'll stiff you if you don't know the exchange rate. Everyone else was cool as fuck and it was one of the most interesting places I've ever been in my life. Greece was bomb too.

i left there for the four seasons which was worth every penny for my journeys :)
