Do you know? Phone App Development Cost?
 

Take a semi advanced (to advanced) geo based phone app like Geodelic, Yowza, or Yelp for example.

What would the development cost be to develope any one of these from scratch for:

#1 Android
#2 iPhone

Does anyone have an idea? or realistic ballpark?

Its all depend on how well you can spec it out. I am working with a company in Pakistan, 10K for my app and they are doing a good job so far....they will not do porn.

$10-20K, and they will release their own version of your app before you even get your copy.

iPhone development ... dangerous if you don't know how to promote it. iPhone is probably, behind the web, THE most saturated platform in the world now. I'm working with iPhone developers on some things and have done some iPhone games in the past, and it's easy for even the most amazing apps to simply dissapear and your development money with them.

That said ... you can make some pennies too if you're in the know and you deliver the right product.

The way to get over this issue is get few companies to do the modules and you integrate. I am a developer so that is easy

$10 - 20k would be ballpark, maybe a bit more if you want versions for both OSes.
