Mobile phone owners: wanna test something?

Please check out if the videos load on: http://www.imobileporn.com

Let me know the following please so i can adjust and tweak:

- Your phone brand/specs.
- Did you have to scroll left/right on index or did it fit.
- Did the videos fill the displayscreen (without scrolling).
- Did they load fast or slow.

Thanks a whole bunch, all help appreciated!!

kristin 01-14-2010 10:33 AM

1. iPhone
2. No scrolling needed
3. Vids display and work
4. Vids loaded kinda slow but the overall site loaded rather quickly

Now you just need to make sure you are promoting TopBucksMobile on there and we'll be good to go! :)

1. Blackberry Storm (Verizon)
2. No left-right scrolling needed
3. Video Choices (menu) display and work (did not fill the whole screen in default setting, had to magnify)
4. Vids (Cheating Wife) loaded very slow and got an error
"The media being played is of an unsupported format"

awxm 01-14-2010 11:30 AM

1. HTC Hero (T-Mobile)
2. No Scrolling needed.
3. Video thumb fit screen fine, no scrolling needed.
4. Video didn't play (unsupported format)

David! 01-14-2010 11:32 AM

- Your phone brand/specs: Blackberry Curve 8900 - T-Mobile
- Did you have to scroll left/right on index or did it fit: No
- Did the videos fill the displayscreen (without scrolling): Yes
- Did they load fast or slow: 50kb/s average but that's EDGE on T-Mobile, played correctly on my phone.

candyflip 01-14-2010 11:44 AM

- Samsung Moment (Android 1.5 - Sprint)
- No
- Yes
- Video Does Not Play (unsupported format)

Turboface 01-14-2010 11:55 AM

- iPhone 3Gs 32GB
- No horizontal scrolling problems.
- Yes, but the video's aspect ratio is way off. The video is stretched horizontally.
- The pages loaded fine, but the vids loaded a little slow.

You left one part out of your copy and paste. :)

FrozenJag 01-14-2010 12:05 PM

What content format is needed for the blackberry and androids if mp4 wont work? Seems odd.

What kind of error did you get? Im not sure if the video played or didnt play, or played with an error?

So blackberry shouldnt be a problem then. You didnt get any error?

I dont know either, thought we covered most of it with mp4 and the codec we are using.

Who has any idea for these formats/codecs specs:

ANDROID / HTC ??

Guess blackberry and iphone are working then.

Had to re-add you to icq, sent you a few notes
Let me know if you get them

EdgeXXX 01-14-2010 01:05 PM

- HTC Ozone running Windows Mobile (Verizon)
- Yes, had to scroll horizontal and vertical
- I had to download the video and play it on Windows Media Player
- Loaded fairly fast (I would say about average)

Bird 01-14-2010 01:59 PM

I have an Android G1 site looks good when it loads but the phone is unable to stream.

It says this video in an invalid format for streaming.

Bird 01-14-2010 02:01 PM

BTW the forms and links are way to small on android

David! 01-14-2010 02:30 PM

On my Blackberry 8900, I have never been able to stream any type of videos, I was however able to save it to the phone and play it from there.

Is it normal to download videos? Easy to do?

Weird, i will try to get codecs/formats encoding the videos. Lets see if we can get it to work. Seems the others with blackberry's could view them.

2MuchMark 01-14-2010 02:57 PM

on my iPhone 3G (but using WiFi)
- Site loaded slowly and some Nav didn't work
- Video loaded quickly and looked great. ASpect ratios were correct, Phone rotation worked too.

Well, sometimes it just streams and sometimes it makes you download it (I'm guessing it depends on the way the site is coded). In this case, I clicked on the pic (video link) and my phone asked me what I wanted to do with the file "iphone.mp4", so I chose Save. Once it finished downloading (the 19.4MB file took around 1 min to d/l), it automatically started playing in Windows Media Player.

The only thing that I would be concerned about is if you intentionally coded this to be a mobile site as other mobile sites do fit on my phone without having to scroll horizontally.
