Any webmasters around Cabo San Lucas, Mexico? [pics]

Took a recent trip to Cabo for about ten days of chill time.
Had a private villa in the Pedregal hills overlooking the marina. Was way too much villa for two people... sleeps 10 adults... but was nice for sure having it all to ourselves.
Was thinking of going back for a while because I really loved it there. Just curious if there were any webmasters here working / living in that area?

Some pics...

yeah, cabo was killer. Everyone there was really super friendly... once you learn to ignore the throngs of vendors. lol

I bought a time share on the beach, brand new place opens next year. But I can stay at their other resort on the water.. very nice! I love it down there, spent a week last July.

Great framing, picture composition, and lighting. Kinda sexy actually... Content production in your near future?

Very nice... yeah, Pedregal was incredible, ("The Beverly Hills of Cabo" i think they called it)... but we decided the next trip down we want to stay somewhere down on Medano Beach. Better for just walking out and going wherever you want. Up in Pedregal you gotta have a taxi come get you for everything.

LOL, yeah I don't know about that bro... :winkwink:

been doing my self-educating thing on DSLRs and photo comp though for about a year. My best stuff seems to be food product shots. For some reason I'm really good at those.

Yeah, they call him "Rambo" The Tequila Bandito... selling tequila shots. There's also a chick that walks around with a tequila squirt gun. Rambo's got 2 of the squirt guns too.

It's friend's place so we can use it any time we want at no charge. It is listed on Cabo Resorts though and usually goes for around $800+ per night, depending on whether or not you want a private chef, butler, etc. Comes with maid service, HD satellite tv, Internet, and Vonage free phone calls. (and all the booze you could ever want). Sleeps 10 adults & 2 children. It's 5 levels. The pool deck is on the 4th floor and opens into the main living area.

I prefer San Jose del Cabo myself, but I love it down there in that area. Great seafood to be had!

One of the really cool things about that place is, you can't really see it from the pics, but down near the marina is a dolphin center sort of place where you can "swim with the dolphins" and all that... but it's open top, so all day long you can see the dolphins jumping out of the water and spinning and shit from out on the pool deck. (I thought it was cool anyway)...

marketsmart 01-15-2010 06:19 PM

i used to rent an 8000 sq ft house on the other side of where you stayed in pedegral.

it had daily maid and it was only $3000 for 5 days...

cabo is a great place to take a girl with a group of couples..

unless you want to pick up hookers (nothing wrong with that) or go during spring break, there arent many single girls..

Yeah, that's what I was thinking for the next time I use that place. Would like to go with a few other couples. The villa was amazing, but way too huge for just us, and it actually got kind of lonely there by ourselves after a while, so we spent a lot of time in town. With some other couples we could throw down at the villa with drinks and bbq and have a great time! Otherwise, if it's just us again, I would want to stay down on Medano beach.

bDok 01-15-2010 09:53 PM

just was there for a week a month or so ago. Had a great time. Was the first time I didn't actually hit squid row. Partied at a lot of the smaller places around there on the street. Also first time I didn't surf while down there. I looked though at zippers and little rock and didn't feel like i was missing anything though.

place/pics look dope.

I went there for 5 days in '05. The fishing was awesome, the snorkeling was pretty good, the food was great.

Then I had Volcano Ass for about 10 days when I got back. Dont think I had ever been that sick before.

Thanks!

The crazy thing about those is, the darker one was actually right before sunrise, and the lighter one was nearing sunset.

Indeed. I kicked around the idea of moving there for a while, but it's really kind of a big deal I guess. Gotta have some form FM3 or something, and takes 5 years before you can become a citizen I think. Lots of hoops to jump through.

Assuming you do not plan to work for a mexican company the FM3 is no big deal at all.
It costs about 200 or something to set up and 100 a year after that
Any notario can do it for you. All you need to show them is you have money in the bank to support yourself. I think you need to show around 5k is all

Serious? That's it?
But how do you renew your passport if you don't maintain a US address? And then of course, that leads to all kinds of other questions like taxes, driver's license, etc. Seems like you'd almost have to keep a US address somewhere.
