Island Cyprus Gathering in Cyprus - Rip Off?
 

I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience with the Island Gathering in Cyprus www dot islandgathering dot com. We paid the registration fee, pulled out before the posted deadline to receive reimbursement, the show was canceled, and we are still waiting to get reimbursed. I've been getting the run around by Fabian, Tunde, and Dana since August. We haven't seen a penny of the $2769 we paid them. Has this happened to anyone else?

That's good news. How and when should we expect that payment to be coming? Check? Wire? Please let me know what details (if any) you require to process the payment.

Hey Charles , those guys run alot of the more vip shows I been to one of them few yrs ago .
I don't think there is any rip off intentions . Just wait for further responses i guess .

They fucked almost everyone over. We've been a major sponsor of Island Gathering for the last two years in Curacao and supporters of their shows in Panama.

When they announced to move the Curacao show to Cyprus we made a down payment in excess of 10k Euros and they never paid us back either after they canceled Cyprus.

Some people said that they didn't even pay the Marriott in Curacao for the last show. They collected our money and pocketed it without paying staff or the hotel. I know of Klixxx Magazine advertisers (Klixxx was owned and run by the same people) and Panama Summit attendants (also the same people) who got fucked over big time. Fabian and Dana are one sad scam operation who also didn't pay many of their staff in Panama before they fled the country.

I hate to say it, but time to do a chargeback.

You should only do it when it's an absolute last resort, but when you've been patient for months and have months of documentation, you are well within your rights to do so.
