The new ICQ finally rocks...Download ICQ 7 NOW!

The new version is finally a good update! As the adult industry is connected through ICQ, this makes me happy. Finally some stable, bug-free and speedy edition...:thumbsup

epitome 01-20-2010 01:50 PM

Thanks for the heads up! I haven't logged into ICQ for at least a month because I was having so many problems with it.

Jey p 01-20-2010 01:58 PM

I am online now and it rocks !

Wilsy 01-20-2010 02:00 PM

Can you transfer all your contacts with you?

Zuzana Designs 01-20-2010 02:10 PM

Looks like I lost my history when I just switched :( That sucks

David! 01-20-2010 02:11 PM

What I hate about installing those IM programs is all the shit they put in your PC without giving you the option to not have it installed

Farang 01-20-2010 02:24 PM

is it better than Trillian astra?

Naechy 01-20-2010 03:19 PM

i can't live without my icq histories, i think i'll pass on this one, or until someone can tell how to retain the history

fatfoo 01-20-2010 03:28 PM

It's amazing how so many of the adult people use icq. Good program.

woj 01-20-2010 03:41 PM

doubt it's any better than trillian astra

ThumbLord 01-20-2010 03:49 PM

please do not use the word ICQ and stable in one sentence.
it is crappy, but since we all insist to use it, heh .......

combson 01-20-2010 04:06 PM

It is stable now, strange but true, and it uses very small percentage of my resources...

I know, I really need mine. Hopefully someone knows how to get our history back.

Adam X 01-20-2010 04:10 PM

guys.. RELAX

IMPORT HISTORY. Menu > My Tools > Settings ? History tab on left.. see Import History text link on right? Go for it.

It transfers all contacts too.. it always does.

De-select the options you dont want such as ICQ search and ICQ home page, toolbar etc.. ya gotta look for the text links during installation.. there's 2 of them, select Custom link.. its tricky because they did it that way on purpose.. it got past me the first install (which hung) but I did it on the 2nd (successful) install.

good luck.. yeah looks pretty good, different.. and now theres a Feed button to view everyones Status Updates.. its not just a tagline anymore under your name.

Cyber Fucker 01-20-2010 04:25 PM

I use Miranda IM :glugglug

Miranda is a multi platform client ... and allows you to log into the ICQ network and message on it :)

KILL_FRENZY 01-20-2010 09:16 PM

Is it really that much of an improvement? Thanks for the heads-up :thumbsup

Evil Chris 01-20-2010 09:26 PM

Brad

NaughtyRob 01-20-2010 10:02 PM

Wish they had a new one for Mac, the newest Mac version sucks.

Also, ICQ is up for sale for $300M, AOL bought it in 1998 for over $400M, just an interesting tidbit.

NaughtyRob 01-20-2010 10:03 PM
