Man Dies of Stroke After Watching Avatar
TAIWAN -- A man with a history of high blood pressure died of a stroke after watching the 3D blockbuster Avatar.

The 42-year-old man, who suffered from hypertension, was rushed to the hospital after he began feeling ill during the screening of the movie.

The man identified only as Kuo was unconscious when he got to Nan Men General Hospital where a scan showed that his brain was hemorrhaging, Dr. Peng Chin-Chih, an emergency room doctor, told AFP.

An emergency room doctor says the stroke was likely triggered from over-excitement while watching the 3D blockbuster Avatar, AFP reports.

"It's likely that the over-excitement from watching the movie triggered his symptoms," the doctor told AFP.

Kuo died 11 days later from the brain hemorrhage.

How many millions of people have seen the movie, hasn't it made like 500 million or something? What is that 50 million people? Could it just be possible it was the guys time to die and wouldn't have matter if he was home sleeping or out dancing?

No, the people on this forum aren't familiar with Occam's Razor.

This movie should be seen with a doctor prescription, like Viagra ... I'm afraid to go and watch it, since I may commit suicide afterwards or have a heart attack :)

Fake story, regardless of source.

No ER doc would ever make a ridiculous claim like that :2 cents:

Makes sense.

roxxx 01-21-2010 05:04 AM

Why people die? The movie has a happy end after all...

Raf1 01-21-2010 05:17 AM

it's not surprising when you take into count the amount of people that went to see the movie.

Iron Fist 01-21-2010 05:24 AM

Slow news day? Really? BECAUSE he was watching Avatar or that he would of had a stroke watching ANY MOVIE because he probably was consuming a large butter soaked popcorn and it was his body's way of saying... "that's the last fucking popcorn your eating on this planet!"

Sometimes I hate the media.

themadwriter 01-21-2010 05:32 AM

he must have had the pleasure of some sort of 3D interactive screening of the film because i was more excited by my GF rubbing my cock during the movie then the movie itself!

John-ACWM 01-21-2010 07:36 AM

'It's likely...' like everything else in life.

Pleasurepays 01-21-2010 07:41 AM

news is retarded.

the story is really just: "man with hypertension and high blood pressure has stroke" and a bunch of fucking idiots want to sell ads/page views and subscriptions so they attach "avatar" to the headline

Scott McD 01-21-2010 07:42 AM

People get that excited over a movie ??

I wouldn't think so...

KILL_FRENZY 01-21-2010 10:51 AM

Yeah right, I have hypertension and as you can see I'm still alive.
He was probably bleeding long before the movie.

Saw on the news the other day "Teenager commits suicide after watching Avatar" and it turns out she got dumped by her bf, humiliated in school and kicked outta her home by her parents for being pregnant with his kid. So yeah, it really was Avatar that drove her....

tranza 01-21-2010 11:15 AM

Damn, that sucks..
