The perfect domain service

What features do you want in the perfect domain lists and tools service? Features you actually use on a regular basis. What extras do you want? Is there anything your usual spot doesn't provide?

What price is fair, based on what you need in a domain service?

I wish mine offered domain privacy for free. My old one did.

Anyone else? Come on domainers, what would you like?

You mean a registrar or what?

Brujah 01-22-2010 03:24 AM

no, not like a registrar. Sorry about that. I mean a site for information and tools for expiring and expired domains. I'm putting some finishing touches on Clickmojo, and thought I'd get some last-minute feedback before bringing it live.

For example, if you invest in domain names you probably want to filter the raw lists of about 60,000 or so deleting domains everyday to know which ones are worth a backorder. You want to know which ones might get traffic, or be valuable to flip later, develop, etc... Some of these metrics you want to filter against might be; pagerank, link popularity, average cost per click with google, rankings with alexa or quantcast or compete. You might want to research domain leads based on names already registered based on a keyword, category, or owner's email. Basically, anything to help the domain investor make informed decisions.

Creating a keyword list + tlds, and then get a mail when domains matching those criterias are deleting.

Do not know, if you already have this.

Bossman, thanks! I have those tools, but I haven't added the email subscription to it. I'll see what I can do about that.

You have to be able to change the nameservers quickly. Instantly if possible.

I know at some services you have to wait 24 hours for it to change.
