since someone thinks baddog is old...I am guessing sixty something...what is old around here and is old a bad thing

i don't think baddog is 60

it's completely relative and is generally from the perspective of the person doing the talking

to a 10 year old, somebody that is 16 is old

to an 18 year old someone that is 25 is old

some guys feel old at 21 and lament when they were younger

some guys are in their 50's and feel young and still land the babes

ages are just numbers and oldness or youngness are a state of mind, just like being positive or negative in life

I think old would be about 80-85+....I know many peeps in thier late 60- early 70,s that still just go about thier biz like as they are 21.....and with people living longer lives I think late 50,s -60s is just a mature age now..not old.....:thumbsup

I'm 27 and I consider myself old. :) It's just apart of life though, anyone who actually tries to insult someone just because they're old is truly a moron. :1orglaugh

it's all about quality of life. i'm 37, good shape, having a great time, but i really don't want to be 75 and in a wheel chair. ugh.

Old is really a mindset. I am 73 and feel I am old. Have the normal strong back pain in the morning but thanks to percocet I come out of it soon.

Now, in the summer, I have membership in 2 golf courses. My golfing partner is also old?? at 69. But, guess what ... we golf 36 holes a day (sometimes 54) 5-6 days a week. Only days we miss are weather related or if we both have lots of personal appointments. We live in Michigan so it is a summer sport here. Last year we golfed well over 300+ games total for the year.

And, also yes, we do pretty good for our age. I usually carry a 81 average and my partner a 88 average.

I'm 34 right now, and some nights I feel soooo much older then other nights. I already use my Sundays to sit around all lazy like watching sports all day. I think next week I'm gonna start yelling at people to stay of my lawn.

Until I got cancer last year I used to think I was young and other people of my age (58) were old. A lot of it is down to your life style and health.

I'm 54, my g/f is 32, the only time I feel old is when arthritis hits the many spots I broke or injured when young and stupid.

EVERYONE is going to get old eventually - how the fuck is that a way of insulting someone?

I have 18 years on mine. Am I older? Sure. Am I old? No way. My Wii Fit says my age fluctuates between 34 and 46, although I have gone up to 50 after a hard night of partying.

3 rounds of golf is impressive for any age... it's remarkable for a 73 year old. I'm a young chap that has been playing golf for about 22 years, I can count on one hand how many 3-rounds of golf I have played over that time..and I about died afterward.

I am 59, so yes I am old.

Thanks for the complement. Lots of people at the course say 'how the heck do you do it?'. I tell them it's the '3 enes' that make it work. That's caffiene, nicotene & codene. :thumbsup

We usually start at sunup when the courses open and just quit when we feel tired. Take our time, with a cart, and don't overexert. I usually hit average 180 yards on drive and it's straight. They call me "fairway Jerry" on the course. :D I can hit it 220-230 if I want but then I start to lose accuracy. So, I stay straight and keep out of trouble. I see so many golfers wanting to be macho with a 250 yard drive but only 1 in 10 are in the fairway. Most are in the trees or in the "next over" fairway. They lose a stroke or two in being macho. I always say accuracy over distance. Most long ball hitting amateurs are NOT accurate and it costs them. Love to play skins with them. :thumbsup
