what newsletter mailing program do you use?

We were wanting to know if anyone uses a 3rd party newsletter system such as ConstantContact.com, www.verticalresponse.com or www.icontact.com etc.

Now we havent checked any of the above if they even allow adult companies for sending adult content even if its B2B for our ad tools updates to affiliates.


Or do others use their own in house software such as www.activecampaign.com, DadaMail, www.interspire.com etc.


Now-a-days just wondering the pros and cons to be sure mail is always delivered and using a 3rd party software never having to worry if emails not being blocked by ISPs. And stats/reporting seems to be more accurate with a 3rd party service.

I think your find all those sites use www.campaignmonitor.com - they just use the API.

Personally I use my own code for mailouts. :)

Those you mention don't allow it. No mainstream ESP that I am aware of allows porn.

I would love to hear recommendations or some of the cons of using these programs:

I am planning to write up an article to compare these 4 but I'd like to hear personal reviews. All of the reviews I found online seem too biased and incentive driven.

Here is my review of all of them aside aweber.

PROS - they are all great
CONS - you cannot use them to send porn

I like constant contact. I used it for a lot of my mainstream clients. Its simple and people with no knowledge of a computer were able to navigate and understand how it works fairly easy.

Are there any others? Do people that email now-a-days find their emails being blocked by ISPs? Whats nice about a service that provides this is they do this homework for you, to have SPF records, whitelisted IPs from major ISPs etc


I want to get the most from our emails and want to insure max deliverability... what is everyone doing to insure this?

For some time I've used the free PhpList mailing list software for my subscribers. Works a treat.
