fuck late night and nbc
|
going to be an intersting last show
|
Tonight is the finale, with Tom Hanks and Will Ferrell.
You just know that Ferrell is going to be outrageous. |
Great for stories, just not true. Like the car the night before (which was loaned to the show) the horse gag was just that, a gag.
The Stones music 2 nights ago didn't cost much either for a live or tape delay show, re-running it would cost lots, but chances of NBC ever re-running Conan's shows are slim to none. Its a comedy show- these are jokes. |
yep, tonights last show should be interesting lol
|
Whatever they paid I'm sure it's worth it. There's going to be more people than ever tuning in to watch his last show(s).
|
i dont blame him tho. I heard they are paying NOT him $40some million, but his staff, so he will probably get like $10 mil or so after all said and done, then after taxes hes looking at $6 million to live off of.
if thats the case i would be pretty pissed off too. werent they were paying Jay Leno i believe $30 million a year to do the show and Conan and his staff get $40-45 mil to walk away? either way, Conan is still getting stiff IMO. i would of taken a deal with cash up front and then a few mil a year for the next 5 years or so. its not like he can go back to his other gig, so hes going to have to find some new work |

Looks like Conan is a brainy guy of some kind.
|
It's still funny

"The Veyron, which Conan claimed cost NBC $1.5 million (in fact, you can spend up about $1.7 million for the 235-mph exotic). In fact, Conan got a deal on the Bugatti:
The car was a loaner -- Petersen Automotive Museum has confirmed it provided the car, so NBC only had to pay whatever expenses were involved. " http://content.usatoday.com/communit...mouse/1?csp=hf "ABC News reports that previously existing agreements allow NBC to “play ‘Satisfaction’ at no additional cost for a live or time-delayed performance.” Since the network has pulled the bit from its online airing of the episode, it looks like NBC is essentially on the hook for nada, nuthin’, a big fat zip. " http://www.blackbookmag.com/article/...-million/15253 Quotes and links as requested. Car was loaned, music was free. |
Yep, it IS still funny!! NBC seem like dirty players in this whole stink. They deserve 7 months of ripping.
|
Doesn't really matter if it's true or not, it was still damn funny!

I wish NBC would just let Leno go. I hope Conan comes back on Fox and blows Leno out of the water.

As Ex-NBC employees (Hubby and I), We hope Conan can screw NBC any way possible.
|
Man, it's really a shame that tonight is Conan's last show. His shows have been so damn hilariously funny these past 2 weeks, that it's really sad to see it end.
To be replaced by what... the same lame shit that Leno has been doing for almost 2 decades. Leno will never go out of the box, and that's why his show blows. |
Watching it now.

But let's not forget, it was Leno's new show that start the shitball rolling downhill. When Leno first started 'The Tonight Show' it took him 2 years to start being #1. Conan wasn't allowed even ½ of that much time to pick up steam. |

We just agree to disagree, I don't like Conan and you don't like Jay..:2 cents: |
Both are predictable and boring,I think a good Canadian kid like Jim Carey would work better
