Should I attempt to get into mascots?
 

After being on the forums for a few weeks, it seems there is a pretty decent market for mascots...These drawings were all done in MS Paint with a mouse, so they aren't a perfect example of the kind of stuff I would be able to offer (I have photoshop, I just like to draw more in Paint...I don't know why). But it should be an ok example of my style/ability. Does my style interest anybody? Obviously I would make some examples in photoshop before I offered anything up for sale so you can see a real example.

Obviously I like drawing women. You won't offend me if you think it sucks since it's just a hobby, but I figured I would ask

How much are you looking at charging?

I think you should do a couple final copies and only showcase your best work before asking. I see some great promise in the ones that you did in Paint, but show us some final products.

Paint, no way man, if you like Paint get Corel Painter, I think you will like it. I personally like Photoshop but whatever you are comfortable with.

Looks pretty good.. get some more professional tools and you'll do fine :) Just make sure you ask for half up front ALWAYS and don't trust ANYONE.

As much as this sounds like I'm treating you like competition, I'm not, since our styles etc are very different... however ... it's not a very good market. Less people than you'd think want mascots. Sucks for me ... I do damn nice ones for an obscenely low price and it's still difficult finding work. I don't rely on mascot's do get money in. I have other things on too.
