its pretty wild down here right now still!!! people been partying since Friday for this... ! My family went and parked vehicles along steeet and partied like mardi gras for days!!!

all we heard last night we explosions, fireworks, sirens, fire trucks after the win! For hours throughout the night people driving up and down streets blaring their car horn LOL it was fun!!!

ion a 24 hour town the party started Friday and is still going strong LOL

yeah i dont follow football much but being from new orleans I watch the Saints and with so much riding on that game it was great game to watch. Loved all those fumbles!!! intense! GEAUX SAINTS!!

this city is unlike any other.

watch this vid of Bourbon St going from empty to parades in seconds as they win!! People just pour into the streets from all the bars and start dancing in the streets, and mardi gras just startin!!!

nowhere on earth can compare to this type of in the street party with legal drinking everywhere 24 hours.

The question on everyone's mind that they're afraid to ask...will the riot in NO be worse if the Saints win or LOSE the SuperBowl? I'm guessing lose...which they're gonna.

I grew up here and they never riot here, in fact, part of why I moved away from this place is there are never any protests, its too laid back! People dont riot here, I actually facebooked to my friends and family yesterday that we need to flip some cars over and shit if the Saints win because otherwise, they just pour into the streets and drink, no one ever starts a riot here.... ever. They didnt even do ay damage last night, just piss and puke.

heh its no secret i am not a sports fan.

but when you are from new orleans like I am, born and raised, when the Saints play we cheer them on like any other city does their hometown team. LOL People who arent from here dont understand NOLA and the Saints.

My family are season ticket holders and have been since i was a kid, I was raised in a saints household and my mom even had a WHODAT xmas tree this year LOL

I just like partying with my friends and family and the Saints have provided us with decades of backyard crawfish boils and parties!

I moved back for this stuff! every weekend its parties!!

the videos all my friends uploaded from their iphones & mobiles from inside the dome were awesome!

it must have been so loud. I had to watch vicariously but know at least 30 people who went and all reports point to a total blast, emotional, and intense. I was watching the game with family and it was a good feeling.

I cant wait to see the people wearing dresses and dancing up and down Bourbon today (or just waring them to work etc...) in honor of Buddy Dee today!!

Hey I'd love to see some footage from inside the dome, whats your FB page? Out of all years for me to not be home in new orleans this has to be the one ... DAMMIT

It's a way of life here, everything revolves around football.. the saints. Other fans from other teams in other cities will try to contest that and say that their team is real big in their city, but nothing comes close and like you said they wouldn't understand unless there were here. The Atlanta game back in 06, the first game back in the dome, that was pretty emotional. I felt it. People who lost everything threw all of that a side and all the needed was for that team to win and it made everything seem ok to them. And thats just since Katrina, Saints fans and crazyness goes back from day one, and supporting a team that was almost always a loser.

The only team/city that would even come close to what we feel IMO would be greenbay.

That was a great game, I'm not all into football myself but I'm sure they are partying like hell down there! Congrats.
