What is up with the flood of ICQ spam?

Russians are spamming my ICQ several times a day now. Is anyone else experiencing this shit? I have never got a single spam message for many years using ICQ and now all of a sudden in December it started out of nowhere.

I am not sure how to block it without actually blocking legitimate contacts.
