Holy shit that will cost them some money!!

Toyota Motor Co. said Tuesday it was suspending U.S. sales of eight recalled vehicle models to fix accelerator pedals that stick, the latest quality problem to confront the world's No. 1 automaker.

OK, I'm skeptical.

I say this is probably a "fake recall". They just want to get their slowest money
makers out of the market without telling America "fuck off". Those plants will
close and lay off American workers, when GM is not laying off!
So blame the layoffs on a "recall".

:1orglaugh

Sorry, I just don't believe anything I hear anymore.

Well, their biggest money maker is in the recall - Camry.

Yeah the most reliable car in the world is staging a fake recall for a defect so that they don't have to do layoffs. The decade of bad press that Audi got over the same problem will not effect them.

Damn... that's pretty much all of their vehicles.

I don't care if I'm wrong because conspiracy theories are more fun.

Which is funny because they are swearing it doesn't affect Lexus...

They are treating this like it's two issues.. the floor mats.. and the sticking... the "sticking" is the new recall... But if you research, almost all the symptoms sound the same.. and it seems like they've known about it since 2005 on the Avalon..

The Avalon is the expensive ass camry.. which means it's probably a Lexus everywhere except hardware and body...

If I had a Lexus, I would definitely be worried.

I work at the Corolla plant in Canada. We are stopping overtime / possibly production next week.

The good news is the Rav4 should be super cheap soon. :)
