Hi,

Any reocomendations for an Adult Ad Banner Serving service?

Something to rotate banners on a large traffic site.

Don't want to bother hosting our own PHP ad servers.

Any advise muchly appreciated.

No we have OpenX already running.

It's quite a resource hog. We want to push out 109 million hits a month.

Rather than beef up our servers am interested to find out how much a service provider would charge.

You can get OpenX enterprise or hosted. Same app, running on "their" servers. Not sure about the 109mil hits though.

But are we talking about your own banners? I you are just interested in creating a few adzones and deliver a RON then there are many options. I like JuicyAds.com very much. Currently also talking to the guys from Ero-Advertising.com. Both cases it's just a matter of including their code into your pages and your done. And you still have the option to add your own banner and url as "filler" for each zone you create. Those will be replaced as soon as you sell your zone for a period of time.

I do however combine OpenX and JuicyAds. See http://www.pinktraffic.net/advertisement.php. Those ads are running on 8 sites served by OpenX (hosted by myself in this case, but could also have been on a managed site). I dont come even close to the 109mil hits you talk about though ;).

109mm hits? How many impressions? That's the bigger consideration.

Is there anything less resource intensive that will just rotate banners and nothing more complex

Cummunity hosted is free.

You can probably find a good script for banner rotation (Google Search).

Well the ad software, eg PHP, needs to push the banners out 109 milliion times per month.

As for the click through I'm not sure I"ll have to talk to one of our revenue managers.

Either way, impression, click through, reporting .. on a db this size is very resource intensive. We either need to beef up our databases ($$$) or use a provided service.

For other high end db applications we use master and slave databases.
Our applications then insert to the master and read/report off the slave(s).

So far our efforts have lead to laggy service and slow banners .. not good.
