Is this a fake? It blew my mind - video
Ok, I was handed this link and this video blew my mind, I watched it a few times, and then I sent it to my husband who used to work in Construction and he says there is no way..... it's a video trick.....
Amazing Ability On The Construction Site So you tell me, oh video gurus, is this a fake or is it real? Settle this dispute we're having here. lol |
Im not sure and plan to test it this weekend.. was going to have my wife hold the board.
:) |
It's fake
|
:1orglaugh
|
Well considering that the guy in the video is a known tv personality my guess would be it's a fake,
A good fake though. :) |

Not only is that impossible, especially when someone happens to be filming -- the reaction and acting is amateurish and not authentic, and in slow mo it looks CG.
I do CG for a living, so I can recognize they used particle effects, but that's not even the give-away...it just doesn't feel like a natural candid scene. |
Looks fake

looks fake to me

They could have had the board pre cut and just hanging on barely with something, so that an accurate throw of the blade hitting it would cause it to just fall as if it were cut.
|
The blade is on a wire that is grounded, the board has a wire coil on it that is charged, the blade hits it, sparks are made, from the completed current, making a switch flip and everything falls apart.

I may watch Youtube once a month, so I am not so up on the video tricks going on these days. lol My husband used to build houses too and he immediately said there was "no fucking way" and blew it off as a fake immediately. lol |
That anyone can even consider this not being fake...
|
hahahahahahaha come on

you only see 2 sides of the board, if you cut the indie out of the other 2 sides and left it like 1/16" of an inch thick on the visible sides just hitting it with the blade would break it.
|
completely impossible....
|
I'm thinking maybe he didn't throw the blade at all, tucks it into his front around 00:17, the blade that is thrown is all CGI...
The "truly amazed" reaction of the other 2 guys suggests it's fake anyway. :1orglaugh |
Nice fake,
|
Yes it is real.
But his ability is nothing. I normally carry around a bag full of molten metal and when I throw it at a wall, it forms into the shape of a screw and winds itself into the timber. Takes a bit of practice. |
Lots of people here that have never used bandsaws before - or are unfamiliar w/ newton's laws of motion.
Those two things alone disqualify it :) |
Lol,nice fake .the blade would jam in the wood.it needs a power source to continue to cut through

who cares if it's a fake? It's pretty cool!

Anyone who has ever cut a 2x4 with a circular saw knows that such a feat is impossible. |
That's amazing.

Only Steve Austin would be able to do that.
|
If anything, the bad acting is a dead give away
|
It's fake with out a doubt lol good though :thumbsup
|
Commando was better. Could be balsa wood, if it was sharp enough could slice right through, if he was Steve Austin or atleast Mr Universe. Good idea for my movie version of Bionic Man starring yours truly.
|
Looks fake to me!
|
Its MAGIC!!
|
Fake as hell
