I am always amazed how much money there is in covers, stands and whatever else the hell you can attach to these things. I bet all the usual suspects are firing up their production plants in China just frothing at the mouth to build some product for the new ipad. :pimp

I left my USB cable for iPhone at home and needed to buy one in the airport last night, 19.95 for some thing that would have cost 25 cents to make

They have purses that look like bustiers, they should make a case for this that looks like panties.

1. Invest in a bunch of unmarked, feminine disposal bins and put an Apple logo on it.

2. Set up shop near an iStore.

3. Profit.

I don't see how this has any relevancy to the iphone. iphone was revolutionary, this is not. It's honesty, just a over sized itouch with some added features, that you would have to pay yet, another monthly service fee for.

Stick with your Mac books / Laptops / etc. imho.

I think they are just taking advantage of the Apple Fan Boy Movement with this product.

Its not meant to replace your macbook laptop etc

Its meant to be an always on always ready web tablet/ Book reader/ etc.

a secondary type of internet device that basically anyone can use

considering amazon made millions selling a simple book reader the kindleDX

for 489.00 this on the other hand does SO much more for 10 more bucks...

It is definatly for a certain type of user... basically anyone that can use an Iphone or Ipod touch can use this without learning not a bad idea if you ask me..

For $499 you get the non 3g version, only wifi. Merrr...

you have to pay $130 more for the 3g version, and thats if you only want 16gb.

if you want wifi+3g + 32g, its $230 more, bringing total to $729

And we all know it isn't worth it to get the 16gb, nor the 32gb, but you have to get the Wifi + 3g + 64gb at $829, this of course, doesn't cover the monthly fee's you are going to have to pay for AT&T's over priced Data plan if you plan on using it where ever you are, UNLIKE the kindle @ just $489.

Not saying one is better than the other, but I definitely expected more than just a over-sized iTouch for this launch of the iPad.

im going to buy one and im sure there are tons more people who will too.

and the iPod. Seems like they may be onto something. :winkwink:

If I did, it would do the same thing my iPod is doing, collecting dust on a shelf. I have an old nano that was used for all of maybe a few hours. Still has the damn plastic on the front of it. I'm done buying things I simply will not use. Just like my Wii.

May be cool... a kindle is a little limited by its screen, this iPad thing looks to be about the same size. I dunno... I'm not gonna pass judgement until I actually see one.

i don't have a use for it, some people do though. you obviously have a hardon for apple. i see new products every day that i don't have any use for and no way am i going to get all worked up over them.

Considering I am getting rid of my piece of shit HP laptop for a Mac Book Pro, I have absolutely no "hardon" for Apple, they make great shit.

BUT

The only people that are going to buy this ipad are 1.) Someone with money to blow 2.) Apple fan boy's who would buy anything Apple makes even if it was the same exact product they made before, just over sized and over priced.... whoops...

I'm not going to buy one personally, but you can make money selling crack without using it yourself, so I can see this scoring.
