CBS Considering Airing Gay Dating Site Ad During Super Bowl

From:
http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment...ad-super-bowl/

Frankly, I think it would be outrageous if CBS did not run the ad. I'm not sure what ads they have run before, but if they have ever run an ad for a straight dating site, or an ads that suggest a heterosexual lifestyle, then they may well run afoul of anti-discrimination laws by not running the ad.

On the other hand .... I HATE the name of the site. ManCrunch ?!? Is that really the best that a company that clearly has large amounts of cash (they can afford a Super Bowl ad) can do?

There are enough fags on tv as it is without even more appearing during the Super Bowl...

It's all for PR. There are a few companies that submit ads to networks just for the PR boost they get when the ad gets rejected. Peta is a great example. I bet if CBS actually accepted the ad they would shit their pants. :1orglaugh

Yeah right maybe in Canada, but the USA is still a backwards hick country outside of the major cities. lol.. They will be up in arms about this for sure.

aren't they also supposed to run a pro-life/anti-abortion/family values ad with tim tebow?

wonder what the backlash will be for that....

so? who cares? why even bother to try to change peoples mentality that you obviously cannot? it is because they are annoying and want to push it on people.

the gays dont like them they dont like the gays. so be it.

it's like me going to Afghanistan and telling the Taliban they should accept me for being a Christian.

they should get over it already the more you try to push to change everyone to your way of thinking the more you make the people who dont care enough to choose a side go against you.

You have a point, but I don't think the goal is to push the gay lifestyle on people. Most people understand you can't really change people's stances on these issues. I think the goal is to create a controversy.

i dont see how they could run a regular dating site but say no to gay dating. im sure not many gay guys are into football but this thing will be all over the news the next day and before you know it every gay guy in the country will know about the site.

The commercial actually made me laugh. Has to be a publicity stunt. They are not even on alexa's radar right now with no ranking so that makes them about 15,000,000++ before today.

bingo. :) :thumbsup

controversy sells, it is always the guys with the bank account up top spinning things while us middle guys argue about it and in the long run help their bottom line.

i have trouble believing that the amount of sexism and racism the media portrays even exists. when you talk to the average person about race or sexual preference the majority of people couldnt care less.

So, Man Crunch is owned by AshleyMadison.com? If that is the case they did have the $$ for the ad.

Yep they have already accepted and will air the Tim Tebow Pro-Life ad. I think that is part of why some people are pissed. If they can run a Christian conservative ad, they should also run a gay ad.
