Need PPC Traffic Please

I would like to setup a page for CEmags free trials and buy traffic for it.

Im wanting to try a PPC program.

Do you know any that may convert well for this?

I have tried sex.com a few times, cant remember if it went well or not.

Since the payout is so small for a free trial, id like to keep my CPC low, maybe below $0.10

Choder 12-21-2002 11:35 AM

You're willing to spend 10 cents a click? I've never found anything worth promoting at that rate.

lil2rich4u2 12-21-2002 11:38 AM

oh

Well as i said, im new to PPC so i dont know whats a good rate ... maybe $0.01 ?

dunno, what sites can you recomend?

Dveron 12-21-2002 11:47 AM

Overture and Google adwords are the 2 big PPC.

Some others are Kanoodle, 7 search and findwhat. They vary quite a lot on traffic quality and quantity and also depending on what you are promoting.

Have a look here for some good discussions about the various PPC:

i've paid up to 15 and made 150% returns

Most PPC engines suck in my opinion. It takes years before you can get Overture to accept any of your listings cause they're tightasses, and then when they do place them, the minimum bid is .05 but you have to make it more like .08 to even see a trickle of hits.

lil2rich4u2 12-21-2002 11:56 AM

Any feedback on sex.com?

I did well on Overture with the whole 'free porn password' sell before it got spammed to fuck..ah well. :winkwink:

Google adwords is definately the quickest - you can be setup there within in minutes :thumbsup

I've never used them but they have been mentioned on the board quite a few times if you do a search.

lil2rich4u2 12-21-2002 12:04 PM

what is the url for this google adword thing, and do you know if they have a minimum deposit?

https://adwords.google.com

No minimum deposit. You set a daily budget that you are willing to spend (it will tell you roughly how much this should be depending on the keywords) and Google will work to stay within that budget.

There is a minimum CTR you have to adhere to of 0.5% otherwise they will remove your listings.

BTW if you do a search for free porn the number 2 adword is promoting CEmags.

ok im fooling around on adwords,

every keyword i put in, either gets no hits per day, or is like $0.46 per click

Any suggestions?

here is the url im going to try and promote .. http://www.pornhelper.com/tgp/c/index.html

lil2rich4u2 12-21-2002 12:47 PM

i can set it to $0.05 but then i get 2 hits per day ... anyone have any ideas?

Dveron 12-21-2002 01:06 PM

I would probably go for less searched for keyword combos but have quite a few listings and make the ad specific to each of the keywords you want to be found under - not just some general free porn pictures title when somebody searches for free asian sex pics.

A lot of the ads on there aren't relevant a lot of the time for what the surfer is looking for so if you are more specific you stand a better chance of standing out and getting a targeted clickthrough :2 cents:

Use the Overture suggestion tool for keyword combos.

Go with PPC SE's like kanoodle, 7search, metamission, etc. Decide what you will spend, like $0.02 a click, and boom. If you use enough of the medium-small SEs you can get as much traffic that you want if you take the time

Thanks for this thread great stuff here as always.:thumbsup

I never got a high enough CTR to stay on google adwords. Probably because I had a bad campaign. I did try narrowing my words down though, and still fell short.

I tried goclick.com with wegcash and had a decent return the first day, but then it went to shit. My account got drained at goclick and like 1/3 of the clicks didn't show up on my weg account that showed up on my goclick account.

Wow I butchered the fuck out of that paragraph. :thumbsup

lil2rich4u2 12-22-2002 04:25 PM

guess i gotta try goclick then, lol

do you know off hand if i can use paypal to fill my acct?

Jak 12-22-2002 04:37 PM

We've recently started playing around with PPC at http://www.adultindex.net/index.php?revid=29 and the click-through rate is pretty decent. You might want to try there as well.

-EDITED- Well damn I noticed they just added a console pop. That wasn't there before... hmmm... :(

lil2rich4u2 12-22-2002 04:39 PM

when you say the CTR is decent, do you mean the people clicking your ad is decent, or the people that get to your page and click the sponsor?

See, i may have a "newbie" mentality, but im thinking any one of these PPC engines can just have people that sit there and click shit all day just so we pay cash, id like to know which of the PPC engines out here are true and no nonsense involved and people have actually seen them convert.

Rep 12-22-2002 06:16 PM

I did some PPC SE adwords a while back and a bit of what i found is below.

target your ads as precise as possible, since you pay per click make sure the surfer knows that they will need to pay out some money on the other side of that link. If they are still interested they'll click and hopefully you'll be good enough to sell them. If google terminates your campaign because your CTR was too low just start another one.

target mistypes they have a lower bid in most cases and still get clicks

target specific program names, they know what they want but for whatever reason don't type it in the URL

target webmasters, they've spent more money on the internet then most surfers ever will. replace the words "free porn" with "free cash" and watch your referred affiliates jump.

-edit-

spelling errors

Sorry about that Jak, I added some code to the wrong file. I pull an exit from that domain but from another site and I stuffed up. There will be NO popups from Adultindex.net. :D

we'll work with anyone willing to give ppc a serious shot. hit me up, sign up for an account (costs nothing) and we'll talk about a house match for your first deposit and other things that may help get a ppc strategy working for you.

ppc works well for those who can do more with a click than just direct link to one sponsor. use the click! you bought it! have a good landing page with multiple sponsor ads for a niche, an email gatherer, a seach box, whatever. then, a nice exit program as well.

if you just sign up and don't talk to anyone here, spend the minimum, bid the maximum, and direct link to 'teen' and 'hardcore' sites - you will not make money. you will burn through money fast and sell nothing.

we want to convert for you. we want sex.com to provide the best traffic for webmasters. we partner and send adult search results to several of the smaller ppc's mentioned here already. your success is ours, believe me.

Just stating my PPC traffic converts from Sex.com!

Sadie 12-23-2002 02:13 AM

I used Google Adwords for a while and was able to get some good words for 5 to 7 cents. The problem was that my return was only...lol...5 to 7 cents. I generated a lot of hits and made good money for Google...but nothing for myself.

The words I used were pretty graphic also, and I had a hard time keeping them on the "approved" list. Ever since Google made a deal with AOL, they are really tight on what words they let you use. Apparently (big suprise) AOL does not want anyone searching for "pussy" on the internet.

I don't mean to sound discouraging, but these were my experiences.
