San Francisco Rocks

Been back in the Bay Area for two years now, and recently had dinner in the city... I had forgotten how much SF kicks ass. Been on a fucking remote island too damn long. Good to be back in a world class city.

Cali might be fucked up.... but it'll always be 'Home'. :)

Cali will always be home to me, and will be full time again, hopefully by next summer

matty 02-04-2010 05:47 PM

I had fun in SF the one night I was there lol

Everyone here drives like a fucking lunatic. I SWORE I wouldn't fall back into it, after chilling on Maui for 6 years and driving 30 mph everywhere.....

took less than a week and I was doing 110 on a 2-lane.

old habits die hard. :)

I lived in Sausalito, just over the Golden Gate Bridge, for five years. It was pretty, but too damn cold for me. I still love visiting SF in particular, and the Bay Area in general.

baddog 02-04-2010 06:38 PM

I was born there and love to visit there but could never live there. As stated above, too cold.

I buy cords of firewood here too, but I use it for atmosphere, not necessity. I like riding my bikes and driving my car too much to live in SF. Parking sucks, I don't care who you are.

All true.

I never drive though.

I love the SF.. There's always something awesome going on there. My only complaint is parking.

100% agree. Grew up on the peninsula 20 minutes away and moved into the SF about 8 years ago. I absolutely love it here!

I love San Francisco. Beautiful city.

Last year during Cybernet Expo we discovered a really cool hotel, and once a month my wife and I drive into San Fran for the weekend and explore the non tourist areas. The past few trips we've been down in the Sunset District - I think that's the name of it.

Wherever I go, it's always nice to get back to "The City"! It's where I was born and it will always be home. Go Giants!

I live in "outer sunset" 2 blocks from Ocean Beach. I like how this part of the city feels like the suburbs (fairly calm & quite) but in 10 minutes I can be downtown.

Vjo 02-06-2010 01:03 AM

Seriously the one place I would move to (maybe someday) is San Fran, What a cool fucking city and such a progressive way of thinking.

Go up to Berkeley and hang with the hippies. :)

I've travelled the world, but the SF Bay Area has been my home for over 30 years, and I love it, and can't imagine living anywhere else (even though I grew up in Hawaii)... :thumbsup

If any SF Bay Area people (or travelers passing through) ever want to get together for eats, drinks, and/or conversation, please let me know:

Then I would continue north up to Humboldt county and see what's up!

Then I'd leave Humboldt feeling no pain and go search for the city of Ukiah. Made famous by the Doobies.

Love that song "Ukiah" by the Doobs but youtube is muting all versions.

But since northern Cali reminds me of the Doobies (in my mind) and I so wanted to play Ukiah now.. here's some other Doobie hits I found that are not muted

Actually Toulouse Street or Captain and Me and anything off them was looking for. But alas youtube doesn't have everything after all. Only the main hits which are not their best stuff.

CybernetExpo is held in SF on July 8th we'll be attending again this year. The city is incredible and the show was awesome.

Tasty1 02-06-2010 05:16 AM

San Francisco was great. We were glad we visited that city.
We walked throug the whole town. Even went to see the kink.com building.
There was also a park where a group of stoners where smoking joints.

But we were to late for Alcatraz. You had to book tickets 2 weeks in advance, it was sold out :( The beginning of route 1 to LA is awesome.

There is one problem with San Francisco, the hills. At least, when you go walking like we did.

Daddy Big Nuts 02-06-2010 05:51 AM

One of the best cities to eat in the US in my book.

CDSmith 02-06-2010 09:00 AM
