CamSense - have you been paid

how many of you have not been paid today due to there new terms?

DVTimes 02-08-2010 01:29 PM

Thank you for contacting us.

Under the new T&Cs in order to continue receiving payments from CamSense, a person must either have a chathost account that complies with the "active chathost" requirement of conducting at least one live session in a 60-day period (CamSense T&Cs, clause 2.4), or a CamSense account that complies with the minimum traffic requirements (5 spenders per month).

Please read full Terms and Conditions here: http://camsense.com/termsandconditions.html

Unfortunately your account doesn't meet CamSense requirements. Your payments are suspended until the required spenders amount is reached.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Best Regards,

As I mentioned in the previous email your account doesn't meet CamSense requirements. Your payments are suspended until the required spenders amount is reached.

Please keep in mind that your CamSense account is not being closed.
Lifetime commissions (on new spenders only) will be reinstated right after you regain Active Affiliate status i.e. deliver at least 5 qualified spenders per month to a CC Network site.

This sounds very similar to what VS tried to pull a couple of years ago on some inactive affiliate that had a couple of large whales spending for months.

DVTimes 02-08-2010 01:52 PM

it sucks

i have been promoting them for years

Well after the gfy outcry when VS did the same thing, they reverted the rules back. However, I don't see camsense with the same kind of exposure on this board, so it may not bother them as much. I do think for many small affiliates, getting 5 new spenders a month may be difficult and they risk losing any long term revshare referrals.

I think it's BS, but at least Camsense were upfront about it... affiliates were notified of the new requirements a couple of months ago.

So it sounds like they keep all funds from existing and new members until you reach 5+ per month again? Ouch.

Not sure how much revshare you have going, but why not make a push to get those 5 new spenders a month?

Very nice conversion you got there :winkwink:

fatfoo 02-08-2010 06:06 PM

I never used these people.

davidd 02-08-2010 07:53 PM

The question is: "How do you tell how many people are actually spending?"

Their stats have no deal (suck?). The only thing you can see is new joins, but no detail as to who is spending and who isn't.

alias 02-08-2010 07:55 PM

Fuck that, see sig.

The stats show sessions, but there's no way to tell if session X and session Y a few hours later are the same account, or someone else. Or a brand new account.

The other issue is that the stats don't yet seem to show whether you're in compliance with the new policy. When I asked about this a couple of months ago I was told they would be updated so that affiliates were not always wondering whether they were about to be suspended.

allanuk, depending on how much you have at stake maybe it's worth spending a bit more (eg PPC) to get some new members so you can continue receiving revshare payouts for existing members? It cuts into your bottom line while your account is active, but at least it IS active...

magpan 02-08-2010 10:17 PM

ClubXXXCams is just getting its models up, as we speak. If you get in contact, I will sort you out with a heavy revshare. Check out ClubXXXCash for more details and catch me on ICQ 596861610. Give us a shot, we might surprise you! :thumbsup

I do not think the "New. reg. spend" ever worked. Let's hope they at least upgrade their stats so people can see if it is worth continuing sending to them.

I kept the traffic in place, as it was a consistent money maker, but not getting paid for the last period was a wake up call that it might be wise to find another sponsor... after 5 years.

rowan 02-08-2010 11:34 PM

New reg spend = new registrations that spend within the first 24 hours

Not really a very useful stat.

darksoul 02-08-2010 11:34 PM

Why would anyone want to actively promote them just so at one point when you won't be able to get those 5 spenders all your work will be in vain.
Build your revshare with a sponsor that won't cut you out whenever the feel like (although they're pretty hard to find, there are a few good choices out there)

Some people have already made a substantial investment in referring memberships, and would net more by sending 5 new spenders any way they can so they get lifetime recurring on existing memberships.

rowan 02-08-2010 11:57 PM

I'll send you 5 signups a month if you remove my testicles from that vice! :D

Thats understandable. But what will happen if for whatever reason you won't be able to send those ?
Thats why if I were in this case I would try not to send more than the needed 5/month and build the userbase on another site.

You'll get a $50 signup bonus and PERMANENT 35% lifetime revshare TO THE BANK if you join ClubXXXCash today and send 5 signups to ClubXXXCams every month. That means you're on a 41% program - 6% processing partnership, no other fees (if you are being paid via ePassporte). Not to mention that we have a 10% WM referral program as well!

This offer stands to ANYONE that is willing to give our program a shot. We're only averaging 10 or so models online, but that will inevitably build over the coming weeks. We have over 200 tools in our MPA 3 back-end, including iFrames and Flash-embed banners, and many more on the way.

To the OP: I apologize for 'hijacking' your thread. But, even though we are in the business of treating people very well (as you can see from my offer), we FIGHT for every Webmaster that we get. I think that a lot of companies should look back to their 'first days,' when they were nothing. It would be a good reminder of where they came from and why they are where they are today (meaning, all of the Webmasters supporting them!). :upsidedow

My ICQ is 596861610, if anyone wants to chat. :)

So you're not making more than say, $240 per payout? If it costs you $100 to acquire each of the new qualified spenders each month then you're breaking even... if it costs you less to acquire, or you're getting paid more, then you're profiting. :2 cents:

TheDA 02-10-2010 06:44 AM

You're not going to get anywhere with this crowd whining about it.

Either up your game to comply or drop them.
