How much coffee do you drink per day?

I am definitely drinking to much

No more than 10 cups, and always done with coffee by no later than 10 am.

About 5-6 cups. Just drank my 2nd...

Do you guys have to pee all the time from all this coffee?

I usually pee every day whether I drink coffee or not. If I ever stop peeing, I'm going to a doctor.

none at all :)

1 café latte in the morning and 1 espresso after the lauch.
Sometime a third one after diner.

1 cup in the afternoon, rest of time I drink herbal tea's

I don't remember the last time I had coffee.. but it's been over a year for sure.

What's the matter with all of you? Can't you function without coffee?

Let's see... been drinking coffee every morning for the last 27 years, so... no. No coffee = no functioning. I imagine I would have a foaming-at-the-mouth fit on the floor if I didn't get my coffee in the morn.

Just getting into it, I never used to drink it. I went hard for the first week or two, today 3rd cup that will probably be it.

This is a problem for me. I just cut out the cream this year, but I will sometimes get coffee drunk on 2 to 4 pots per day:Oh crap

usually 1 cup of black coffee in the morning...hot in the winter...ice in the summer.

sometimes espresso if at a restaurant or in Italy.

Those of you that drink several cups of coffee a day, have you ever considered the possibility that some day a natural disaster, catastrophe or emergency may leave you without access to coffee for several days?

I used to have a problem.. 2 jugs of filter per day... calmed down a lot since then!

I don't have a problem with coffee... i just drink it to avoid getting a headache. Is that bad?

Those things can also leave you without heart, seizure, or other medications, dialysis machine, oxygen, insulin, etc. I think coffee is the least of worries in the event of catastrophe. And of course, any caffeine will do in a pinch.

I guess my point was the less dependencies you have, the better. And caffeine seems like it would be one of the easiest addictions to beat.

The vibe I get from this thread is that most of you would be nothing more than a pile of nervous wrecks without coffee in a catastrophe situation, unable to function and help your family, friends or community.

In other words, a liability.
