Anyone who doesn't understand the analogy that John Mayer used is a brainless idiot who's only agenda is to start some drama. What he's saying is that he has a preference for the type of chick he's attracted to, not that he hates black people.

Someone saying he's not into black chicks doesn't make him a racist. Also he plays blues a lot which means he looks up to various black blues musicians and others...

Saying you are not into black chicks is one thing (I'm more into Asian chicks than either white or black chicks, although I've banged chicks of every race), but saying your dick is a white supremacist (inferring that white is better than black), and comparing yourself in any way to David Duke, and using the N-bomb, is somewhat different.

He made an attempt at humor and he failed. In don't think what he said was intentionally racist, just very poor taste. Talking shit like that is fine if you're in a bar surrounded by your buddies, but when you're talking to a reporter of a largely circulated magazine, not so much.

John Mayer is a fucking douche. I don't listen to his music or follow his career in any way but it seems just though mainstream media outlets like CNN and HLN, etc I'm always hearing about this guy and the douchey things he says. I don't know why he still has a fanbase of women who think he's this caring, sensitive guy. What am I missing?
