Well, I was yet another guy who contributed to his high bounce rate and I can imagine most of the people from GFY who clicked through to the article did the same. That tells you one thing - that post is full of advice that won't make significant impact.
I’ve been using tools he’s suggesting and came to a funny conclusion – tools will do you little good. Some audiences simply stick with their preferred sites they religiously visit every day, the others they may read one article at a time, but won’t browse much of the rest on your site during the same session. I have a blog with the same theme and same plugins that caters to one niche and has a bounce rate of 75%. Then I have another blog using the same theme and same plugins yet bounce rate is at 29%. Different niche appeals to different demographics and each type of audience is different.
To sum it up – this article is just like most of “webmaster” articles. Useless but it’s an avenue to get more visitors cause what else is a webmaster to do/ Just keep writing on all possible topics and the traffic overtime builds up.
