What is so good about buying expired domains with PR / Backlinks?

Don't they lose the PR and link juice at the next update since the site is not there, anymore? I mean, I know that 90% of the sites out there won't delink you for a long long time, but won't google figure out that the site is gone?

It's useful because you can redirect the traffic that is still coming into it, because google will TEMPORARILY index shit you put on it before the next update, or what?

Everyone talks about it as if they've grabbed a permanent PRX domain.. but isn't that a temporary thing? And do people really buy permanent links or domains based or PR.. ?? Why do they do that, if it could be so temporary?

And what possible use does redirected traffic have? You sell it to people who want to buy 100,000 hits for $99 or some shit, what??

Sounds like a good idea when they use parking pages or adsense.. that should work real well, I'd think

you can rebuild the site from archive.org to maintain placement, also hard link traffic can last for years

we recommend http://PDDW.com for finding names with hardlinks

not to mention the old site was probably copyrighted :2 cents:

If some idiot lets a valuable domain expire, has a trademark, and I buy it, I can either sell it back to him or wait several months to give it to them, right? Or can they fuck around and successfully sue me?

I think that a lot of people don't know such specifics. So, they make a sale without knowing all the details. Did they buy the wrong thing? Maybe.
