I'm right clicking and 'saving as'. This saves Google.co.uk as an HTML document. If I left click the link, I get redirected to the google page.
Thanks.
I'm a little lost on this members email...

Yes, you can save any webpage to a document.html of some kind with the *.html extension. If you open a folder, and then left-click document.html, a browser will open (such as Firefox or Internet Explorer) and you will get redirected to the html page that you saved.

This also means that if you save an html page, you can also view it offline (even when you have no connection to the internet).

yeah, but this dude is claiming he is right clicking a wmv link... that shouldn't under any circumstances be saving a html page, and google.co.uk? wtf

He is saving all of Google to his harddrive for offline searching.

Yepp, the link is a fake, leading to google, either by hard coding or by some filtering.

He's trying to save the wmv file to his harddrive, but that image he's clicking is not leading to a real movie, but is just a clickable image which will take customers from high paying countries (good IP) to somewhere profitable, and everyone else from shitty IPs (low or non paying IPs) to Google. Since he's one of the latter, the image becomes a google link to him.

Or he could be trying to download the full Google index, let me know when he's done with that. :)
