Olympic Sports

Do you ever think that they create some of these sports specifically for the Olympics? Some of this stuff is bizarre. Who plays this shit as an everyday sport?

Curling. People always make fun of curling. But I mean really... are there youth curling leagues that I don't know about? Do failed hockey players become curlers so they can make the Olympics?

Actually curling is really big in rural parts of Canada, especially the prairies. There are small towns which don't have a hockey rink but do have a curling rink.

It's like Hurdles. Who actually does that or gives a crap at an amateur level that is independant of competition? Nobody, thats who :)

Curling is real big and actually fun as hell to play.

curling is pretty big in Canada, but i find it boring as hell to watch. my ex-gf's roomate from way back played at a national level, we went to some of the games. there is lots of other good stuff to check out, most alpine (and hockey of course). the luge was freaking awesome (had tickets), snowboarding, mens downhill was crazyness, we also have tix to the women's combined downhill on thursday, going to be great.

Curling might not be the best game to watch on TV but it is a lot of fun and a good workout too you would be surprised.
