Just arrived in Myrtle Beach, SC.
It's chilly here right now but I love it so far....The people are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed....
I will take a tour of the ghetto tomorrow and see if I would be able to find content around here if I moved here.....So far, blowing your horn at a woman here in SC brings positive responses....Now if it works like that for regular women, I know that I would clean up on the street hoes. |

Be very careful of where you end up in the middle of the night being a black man in South Carolina. I've heard (very true) stories that would raise the hair on your head. Stay the hell away from something called Walterborough!!!

Well I spent a couple of days in Myrtle Beach and I like it but it's just too "white" for me to be living there.....So yesterday, I drove down to Charleston, SC and ate at a restaurant that I saw on Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations" TV show and it was called 'The Hominy Grill'.....I had the same meal that Bourdain had which was a Big Nasty Biscuit and I had some buttermilk pie for dessert....You can see the restaurant here...Just forward to 3:15....Right where you see the play button in the center of the screen was where I was sitting when I got there.
However, I couldn't move to Charleston because even though it's an old city, there is no parking so I decided to take a drive to Columbia, the state capitol.....It was ok too and I took a tour of Benedict college, a small black college there..... Then I drove to Charlotte, NC which was like another hour and a half from Columbia and from there I'm now in a suburb of Charlotte called Gastonia, where once again, I met up with one of my fans from my website.... Today or tomorrow, I will be driving to Greensboro, NC to visit the Black History Museum and sit at the Woolworth's counter where the Civil Rights movement was helped to be sparked. |
